The technology company Plexus Tech starts the second quarter of the year with its majority stake in the company Nomasystems, specialized in the mobility environment. With over 180 highly qualified professionals, Nomasystems has 20 years of experience and expects a natural growth of more than 400 profiles in 2 years.
In January, Plexus Tech announced the minority entry of Portobello Capital into its shareholding, with the goal of growing by incorporating high value-added technological companies into the Plexus Group to complement areas and bring more knowledge in cutting-edge technologies to its portfolio. The entry of Nomasystems into the Plexus Group marks the first milestone of this strategy as part of its corporate strategy, given the technological concentration environment being experienced by large technology companies, not only in Spain but internationally.
“With this addition, we add talent and multiply knowledge,” says Antonio Agrasar, Founder and CEO of Plexus Tech, who is “very excited about this operation, as we are incorporating profiles with great expertise in cutting-edge technological languages within the mobility area and working for internationally renowned clients. We add talent and bring financial capacity.”
On the other hand, Nomasystems, led by Enrique Marcote and Miguel Rubinos, has a business trajectory that originated as a spin-off from the Faculty of Computer Science at A Coruña and focuses on software development in the mobile world. “In 2003, when we ventured into this territory, there were no specialized job positions in technologies aimed at mobile development. From the beginning, we focused on developing native apps and using Erlang, later Elixir, for our backend systems,” Marcote says.
Regarding revenue, Plexus closed 2023 with revenue of $185.372 million, while Nomasystems reported $10.2 million. In terms of professionals, Plexus now has over 3,500 employees this year, in addition to the approximately 180 from Nomasystems.
Plexus Tech was advised by E&Y Galicia for this process. In the case of Nomasystems, the guidance was led by AndBank Galicia’s private banking team.
