Paula Panarra will lead Avanade in the Iberian region.

Paula Panarra has been appointed as the new General Manager for Iberia at Avanade, taking on the responsibility of leading the company’s operations and strategy in Spain and Portugal. Panarra will bring her extensive experience to maximize the value of organizations’ technological investments that Avanade provides services to, with a special focus on cloud migration and the use of generative artificial intelligence.

With over thirty years of professional experience, Panarra has worked for the past fifteen years at Microsoft, where she held various roles of great responsibility both nationally and internationally. During that time, she led the strategy for Portugal as General Manager and, most recently, was the Global Business Applications Value Lead.

“After these last few years leading a global team at Microsoft, I am excited about the opportunity this move offers me to bring new ideas to Avanade Iberia, drive the company’s growth, and continue positioning Avanade as a leader in digital innovation,” Panarra stated after her appointment.

Her purpose as General Manager will focus on ensuring that customers harness the potential of Microsoft solutions offered by Avanade, as well as generative AI, while transforming their businesses responsibly. Additionally, she aims to make a significant human impact both in society and for the company’s employees.

A graduate in Chemistry and Biotechnology from the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, Panarra began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she worked for over fifteen years in various roles of responsibility. In 2019, she was awarded the Maria de Lurdes Pintassilgo Prize, which recognizes the role of women in the engineering sector.

With her vision and leadership, Panarra will seek to enhance Avanade’s growth in the Iberian region, solidifying the company as a benchmark in digital innovation and helping organizations become more efficient, resilient, and prepared for the future.
