ODATA, one of the leading companies in data center solutions in Latin America, has strengthened its presence in Chile with the opening of its second site in the country, the DC ST02. Located in the commune of San Bernardo, in Santiago, this new data center is a key milestone in ODATA’s expansion strategy in the region, increasing its total IT infrastructure capacity in Chile to approximately 80 MW.
The DC ST02, ODATA’s largest campus in Chile, is designed to offer up to 40.6 MW of IT load capacity and over 34,000 m² of built-up area. This site features state-of-the-art equipment from global providers and leverages ODATA’s team expertise, ensuring maximum availability and performance for end users.
Ricardo Alário, CEO of ODATA LATAM, highlights the efficiency and speed in the construction of the center, as well as the compliance with all environmental and legal regulations. “ODATA’s ability to navigate complex legislations and deliver high-quality projects across Latin America is one of our strong points,” says Alário.
The DC ST02 boasts a dedicated electrical substation and a provision of 60 MVA of electric power through dual feed, ensuring high reliability and electrical redundancy to maintain continuity of customers’ critical operations.
Continuous Expansion in Chile
In addition to the inauguration of the DC ST02, ODATA announces the expansion of its first campus in Chile, the DC ST01. This expansion includes the construction of a second building, reinforcing the strategic importance of the center. Alário points out that the DC ST01 operates with contracted renewable energy, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The growing demand for data center services in the region, driven by the acceleration of digitalization, has motivated these expansions. “Chile has become a strategic destination for hyperscale customers in Latin America,” explains Alário. “Our expansion in the country provides our customers with flexible, scalable, connected, and reliable data center solutions.”
Commitment to Quality and Regional Flexibility
ODATA is distinguished by its ability to maintain a high level of service and commitment, adapting to the challenges and regulations of each region. “Our flexibility and technical competence, combined with operational excellence, make us a reliable partner for companies looking to expand in Latin America,” concludes Alário.
The opening of the DC ST02 and the expansion of the DC ST01 in Santiago are clear examples of ODATA’s sustained growth in Latin America, offering advanced colocation and housing solutions that respond to the current and future needs of the data center market.
