The alliance strengthens Oracle’s role as a strategic partner in deploying advanced artificial intelligence models with business security and performance
The artificial intelligence company xAI, founded by Elon Musk, has announced that its Grok models will be available through the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service. This integration will allow companies across various sectors to access powerful AI capabilities for uses such as content creation, process automation, and decision-making assistance.
Thanks to this collaboration, xAI will leverage Oracle’s high-performance infrastructure—including its bare metal GPU instances—for training and inference of its Grok models, including Grok 3, the latest and most advanced version developed by the company.
“Grok 3 represents a leap in artificial intelligence capabilities, and Oracle’s platform will accelerate its impact in the business environment,” said Jimmy Ba, co-founder of xAI.
In addition to providing speed and scalability, the integration with OCI ensures a rigorous approach to security and data governance. All data sent to xAI’s models through Oracle will be processed at zero-retention endpoints, a key requirement for sensitive and highly regulated sectors.
Greg Pavlik, executive vice president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, emphasized the importance of the alliance:
“The incorporation of the Grok models into our platform reinforces our mission to provide businesses with leading-edge artificial intelligence technologies, with the highest levels of security, efficiency, and flexibility.”
xAI, founded in 2023, has quickly positioned itself as one of the most innovative players in developing foundational models with a focus on reasoning and deep understanding of language and human knowledge. The availability of its models through Oracle strengthens both companies’ strategy to offer accessible and robust solutions for the corporate world.
One of the initial use cases under exploration is that of Windstream, a telecommunications company that plans to leverage the Grok models via OCI to improve its internal workflows and support its teams.
