The sixth edition of Innomakers4Health, a joint initiative of Wayra, the corporate venture capital of Telefónica, Pfizer, and the Pfizer Foundation, kicks off with the aim of finding innovative technological solutions to combat antibiotic resistance. This challenge, considered a global public health problem, will be the central focus of the event to be held on October 18 and 19 at the Telefónica Foundation Campus 42 in Madrid.
Open call for 100 participants
The program aims to bring together 100 participants with diverse profiles, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and startups interested in the healthcare sector. The selected participants will work in groups of 5 or 6 people for 48 hours to develop unique solutions to address the challenge. Profiles sought and event dynamics
Candidates with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) skills, knowledge of the most disruptive technologies in the current market, as well as individuals with backgrounds in social sciences and experience in market analysis and strategic planning are sought. The specific challenge will be revealed at the beginning of the event to ensure that all participants start on equal footing.
Prizes and opportunities for winners
The top three winners will share a prize worth €6,000. In addition, the winner will have the opportunity to accelerate their project at Pfizer’s InnomakersLAB, with the additional support of Wayra, which will offer:
- A 6-month mentoring program
- Access to Wayra’s workspace on Gran Vía in Madrid
- Opportunities for collaboration with Telefónica’s business units
- Possibility of receiving future investment from Wayra
