Viva Technology 2025 has wrapped up its ninth edition, exceeding all expectations and setting new historical records in attendance, business connections, and international significance. The event, held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, brought together 180,000 visitors, 14,000 startups, and delegations from 171 nationalities, solidifying its position as the largest meeting point for technology and entrepreneurship in Europe.
Artificial Intelligence and New Trends: The Undisputed Stars
Artificial intelligence was the central theme, with a 40% increase in exhibitors related to the sector compared to 2024, and over 300 announcements and launches over the four days. Notably, the creation of “Mistral Compute,” a sovereign AI infrastructure for Europe developed in collaboration with NVIDIA and Mistral AI, stood out. Startups like Unitree, Buddyo, and Vrai AI showcased real applications of AI to address specific challenges across various sectors.
Epicenter of Global Entrepreneurship
The entrepreneurial spirit was evident with the participation of over 14,000 startups and the attendance of 3,600 investors and top-tier venture capital funds such as Accel, KKR, Lightspeed, Sequoia Capital, and Google Ventures, all in search of the next technology leaders. More than 640,000 business connections were registered among startups, corporations, and investors, highlighting the real impact of VivaTech on the global innovation landscape.
A Stage for International Leaders
Among the more than 450 notable speakers were Jensen Huang (NVIDIA), Arthur Mensch (Mistral AI), Emmanuel Macron (President of France), Joe Tsai (Alibaba), Yann Le Cun (Meta), Sarah Friar (OpenAI), Thomas Wolf (Hugging Face), Mike Krieger (Anthropic), Cliff Obrecht (Canva), Vanessa Wyche (NASA), and many others. Canada was the guest of honor, with over 170 companies and organizations represented.
Impact, Inclusion, and Sustainability
This year, VivaTech focused on diversity and social and environmental impact, celebrating the first Global Awards Ceremony in collaboration with TechCrunch. Among the awardees, the Female Founder Challenge recognized Hélène Briand (Verley), while the AfricaTech Awards highlighted the dynamism of the African continent, with startup Reme-D.Inc emerging as the overall winner. Additionally, the event maintained its ISO 20121 certification for best practices in sustainability.
Unprecedented Reach
The success of VivaTech 2025 is reflected in its record numbers: over 3.6 million social interactions (+68% compared to 2024) and 7 million people reached through the official VivaTech News broadcast. The event featured exhibitors from over 120 countries and 50 national pavilions (+20% vs. 2024), with the notable presence of official delegations from the U.S., Houston, Miami, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador, and Nigeria for the first time.
