The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia once again becomes the epicenter of technological innovation with the celebration of the seventh edition of Valencia Digital Summit (VDS). Under the motto “Embracing evolution: invest in tomorrow’s leaders,” this international event will bring together over 600 global leaders on October 23 and 24 to discuss the impact of technology and innovation on society.
Organized by Startup Valencia, the event will feature key figures from the global innovation ecosystem, addressing topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, health, the future of work, and the role of women in technology. The conferences and roundtables will be distributed across seven stages: Santander Stage, sponsored by Banco Santander; Green Stage, promoted by the City of Valencia within the framework of the European Green Capital 2024; Audiovisual Stage, supported by the Valencian Government and Ciudad de la Luz; Pitch Stage, where startups will present their projects to investors; Main Stage, for the opening and closing ceremony; Discovery Stage, focusing on key topics like the Valencia Port Foundation forum; and the Workshop Room, hosting workshops led by major corporations like Amazon and Google.
Innovation and technology at the highest level
Among the standout participants in this edition are influential figures like Tom Mason, CTO of UnlikelyAI, and Thomas Holl, co-founder of Babbel, who will share their insights on the future of technology and its impact on key sectors. Sustainability, health, and the future of work
Sustainability will be another crucial theme in this edition, with a dedicated stage, the Green Stage, hosting conferences on how governments are transforming cities of the future. Additionally, the development of sustainability-focused projects in Europe will be analyzed by leaders from companies like Unicorn Factory Lisboa and Bandora.
The Workshop Room will offer a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and innovators, with specialized workshops on artificial intelligence and blockchain, among others. Standout workshops include defense against adversarial cloud attacks, led by Jose Carmona from Google, and technological innovation in Europe, led by Omar Sequera and Carlos Muñoz.
Film and technology: a key convergence
The Audiovisual Stage, sponsored by the Valencian Government and Ciudad de la Luz, will be the place to explore the intersection between technology and the audiovisual industry. Speakers include Fermín Crespo, General Director of Ciudad de la Luz, who will discuss special effects in cinema. Additionally, a roundtable on new volumetric solutions for virtual production will be held, with Wolfgang Stindl and Anthony Brown participating.
