The United Arab Emirates Will Invest Billions in an AI Megadata Center in France

The project, with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt, will be the largest artificial intelligence campus in Europe.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an investment of between 30 billion and 50 billion euros for the construction of a data center for artificial intelligence in France, as confirmed by the French presidency this Thursday. The complex, which will serve as the core of a new AI campus, will be the largest in Europe dedicated to this technology.

The initiative is part of a strategic AI agreement signed in Paris between French President Emmanuel Macron and his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The data center, with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt, will allow for the storage of large volumes of data and provide the necessary energy power for advanced artificial intelligence applications.

France strengthens its position in the global race for AI

The announcement comes at a crucial time, coinciding with a global forum on artificial intelligence that brings together experts and technology leaders in Paris to discuss the impact and future of AI.

The event, which precedes an international summit of world leaders on artificial intelligence, aims to establish a common vision around a technology that has revolutionized multiple sectors in the past two years.

The investment from the UAE represents a significant endorsement for France in its commitment to artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, consolidating its position as a key player in technological innovation in Europe.
