The Demand for Training in Audiovisual Communication, Software, and Cybersecurity Marks Classroom 2025

The Core strengthens its position as a leading audiovisual school with an immersive booth that captivates pre-university students

Aula 2025, the largest education and academic guidance fair in Spain, held from March 26 to 30 at IFEMA Madrid, has confirmed the growing interest among young people in careers linked to technology, creativity, and digital security. With over 140,000 visitors, the event brought together educational institutions and future students in an increasingly innovation-driven and technology-influenced environment.

Among the highlights of this edition was The Core, the audiovisual training school belonging to Planeta Formación y Universidades, which has solidified its presence as a key player in the educational sector. Its booth, one of the most visited at the fair, provided an immersive experience with mixed reality technologies, simulators, and live demonstrations that attracted hundreds of young people, primarily aged between 16 and 18.

Training for the Future

The most in-demand degrees and courses at The Core reflect students’ interest in emerging sectors. Highlighted programs included the Bachelor’s in Audiovisual Communication, Bachelor’s in Software Engineering and Video Games, and the Specialization Course in Cybersecurity. The Bachelor’s in Marketing and Communication and the Vocational Training in 3D Animation also generated significant interest.

“This year’s goal was to offer a booth that represented our essence: technology, creativity, and industry. The audience’s response has been extraordinary and confirms that our educational proposal meets the concerns of new generations,” stated Mercedes Agüero, dean of The Core.

Prime Location and Connected Industry

Located in Madrid Content City—the largest audiovisual production hub in Europe—The Core stands out for its practical approach and employability-focused methodology. Its facilities include 20,000 m² of studios, radio studios, specialized laboratories, and production rooms, allowing a direct connection between training and the professional environment. Additionally, the school maintains partnerships with leading companies such as Atresmedia, Grupo Secuoya, Banijay, and PlayStation Talents.

Institutional Recognition and International Projection

According to the Instituto Coordenadas de Gobernanza y Economía Aplicada, The Core has been recognized as the best audiovisual school in Spain. It is part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, the international network of the Planeta Group, which has 22 institutions in Europe, North Africa, the United States, and Colombia. Each year, over 150,000 students from more than 100 nationalities pursue their studies within this educational ecosystem.
