The Synology Solution Day 2024, held yesterday in Barcelona by the leading storage solutions company, brought together over 150 IT professionals interested in learning about the latest brand innovations aimed at improving efficiency in enterprise data management.
During the event, Synology unveiled its new scalable storage and data management solutions, a backup device with advanced security features, flexible options for AI cameras, and AI-driven productivity tools. All of these updates are designed to strengthen business resilience.
The growing trust in Synology from companies in various sectors is evident, with 35% of IBEX 35 firms already integrating their solutions. Additionally, their expansion in the B2B market, with a 46% increase, highlights the relevance of their products in the corporate environment.
Marcos de Santiago, Sales Director for France and Southern Europe at Synology, highlighted the company’s significant growth and stated: “In the last three years, Synology has experienced a significant increase in revenue, especially in sectors such as manufacturing, public administrations, and media and entertainment, with a 63% sales growth in Spain. This progress reflects our success in adapting to the changing needs of these sectors.”
Data protection and scalable storage are crucial in today’s landscape. Therefore, Synology introduced their latest ActiveProtect devices for data protection, designed to simplify deployment and scaling challenges. The ActiveProtect series offers a simplified interface that allows organizations to protect up to 2,500 multi-site servers with global immutability and retention policies. The new backup engine, compatible with global source deduplication, ensures top-tier backup performance with low management overhead.
Furthermore, the brand unveiled the updates to their GS series, designed to handle growing enterprise storage demands. With the ability to scale up to 96 nodes, Synology’s GS series supports file and object protocols, offering massive raw storage capacity and high concurrency for Synology Drive and Office. The scalable platform’s operating system is designed for uninterrupted operations and data integrity, making it an ideal solution for companies requiring reliable and scalable storage.
Enhanced security with AI was also a focus for Synology, who continues to innovate in video surveillance with C2 Surveillance Station, a cloud-integrated video surveillance solution. The new C2 cameras are quick to deploy and provide secure and efficient monitoring options in environments where local recording servers are not viable. With end-to-end encryption and advanced AI for fast and localized detection, C2 Surveillance Station ensures that video data is secure and accessible only to authorized users.
Updates to the Office Suite productivity tools were also announced during Synology Solution Day 2024, including the integration of GenAI features designed to enhance collaboration and streamline workflows. These new capabilities aim to increase team efficiency and simplify document management, offering a smarter and more intuitive way to work across departments.
“It has been a pleasure to host our Spanish business partners and customers at our annual event,” says Ivan Gento, International Marketing Manager at Synology. “Spain is one of our most important markets, with tremendous potential. Our goal at Synology is to empower company IT teams and strengthen the industry by offering efficient, transparent, and easy-to-implement solutions.”
Gento concludes: “Today’s businesses face multiple challenges, including AI challenges, regulatory compliance demands, and persistent cybersecurity threats. IT professionals are essential for driving organizational growth, and Synology is committed to empowering IT teams to use data to create a better world.”
