The American firm Sphinx, specializing in counterintelligence and cyber defense tools for digital conflict environments, has announced the acquisition of Enigma International, a company focused on developing languages and systems for defense and intelligence sectors. This move expands Sphinx’s ability to deliver advanced solutions based on artificial intelligence and automation to both federal and corporate clients.
Enigma brings key contracts like GSA OASIS+ and DIA DLITE II, which will grant Sphinx greater access to U.S. government programs. It will also strengthen the AxIS (Advanced Intelligence & Security) product line, particularly its AxIS-CI version, designed for collaborative counterintelligence operations enhanced with AI.
A strategic reinforcement for the federal ecosystem
“Adding Enigma not only brings unique qualifications to protect U.S. interests, but it also places us within three new intelligence organizations,” said Garrett Pagon, CEO of Sphinx. “From there, we can drive truly transformative solutions.”
Steve Martin, the company’s COO, emphasized that “the union with Enigma is a natural step for Sphinx. Its focus on innovation and proactive defense aligns perfectly with our mission to safeguard critical operations against sophisticated adversaries.”
Enigma as a key piece in expanding capabilities
Yolanda Wong, CEO of Enigma, stated, “Sphinx’s capabilities and leadership in large-scale defense software and services come at just the right time for our growth. We’re excited to join such a renowned organization, which will boost our support to federal clients and programs.”
Enigma International provides technical and professional services, especially in linguistic support and engineering, aimed at military and police operations worldwide. Its capabilities will now integrate into Sphinx-led deployments involving cyber operations, research, evaluation, analysis, and technological integration.
Consolidation and sustained growth
Founded in 2018 by experts from special operations, intelligence, and cyber warfare communities, Sphinx has built its reputation through the delivery of advanced technology solutions, including the AxIS platform used in national security missions. This acquisition marks another milestone in its expansion strategy after securing several major contracts in recent months.
With this move, Sphinx strengthens its SOLVD (Solution and Value Delivery) model, focusing on data-driven design, automation, and augmented AI to combat evolving threats in the digital landscape.
