Septeo expands its presence in the AI market with the acquisition of Ideta.

The Septeo Group, a recognized software manufacturer in Europe, has announced the addition of Ideta to its portfolio of companies. Ideta, specialized in the development of chatbots and callbots based on Generative Artificial Intelligence, has a user base of over 25,000 and a presence in more than 35 countries.

The acquired company will be integrated into the Digital Services & Security vertical of the group, under the leadership of Bertrand Pigois. Ideta is known for its open-source platform that allows customers to design their own virtual assistants.

Growth and Expansion Strategy

This acquisition represents a significant step in Septeo’s growth strategy, aligning with its commitment to cover the digital value chain for all its customers. Additionally, the move reinforces Septeo’s position as a technological leader in Europe and supports its expansion policy.

The integration of Ideta into Septeo provides a growth opportunity for the European group, enabling it to offer its customers a platform that will strengthen their cross-cutting and digital solutions, increasing their value on a global scale.

Impact on the Spanish Market

Manuel Ortiz Paredes, general director of Septeo for Spain and Portugal, highlighted the importance of this acquisition for the Iberian market: “For Spain, the addition of Ideta to the group is great news. We are confident that it will contribute to accelerating innovation and increasing value for our current customers.”

Ortiz Paredes also pointed out that Septeo’s project in Spain and Portugal has consolidated in the last year in the Hospitality sector and is evolving towards a more global project, which will allow it to address new challenges.

Focus on Artificial Intelligence

The acquisition of Ideta is part of Septeo’s continued focus on Artificial Intelligence. This commitment began with the purchase of SoftLaw in 2020 and was reinforced with the creation of Brain, the group’s AI laboratory, in 2023.

Bertrand Pigois, director of Digital Services & Security, commented: “The arrival of Ideta to Digital Services & Security complements our offer of innovative cross-cutting solutions. The technology developed by Ideta is a real opportunity to support the digital transformation of the group’s clients.”

Future Perspectives

Sarah Martineau, CEO of Ideta, expressed optimism about the merger: “This union marks the beginning of a new stage for Ideta, allowing us to accelerate our growth and fulfill one of our brand commitments: making Artificial Intelligence accessible to all companies.”

With this acquisition, Septeo reaffirms its position as a key player in the European technology market, especially in the field of Generative Artificial Intelligence, promising a future of innovation and growth for both companies.
