Red.es will invest 200 million euros in digital training for professionals

Red.es, the public entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, has announced an investment of 200 million euros aimed at the training of professionals in digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative, approved by the Council of Ministers through Royal Decree, is part of the National Digital Skills Plan of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.

Objective and scope of the program

The program aims to develop digital skills among professionals in various sectors. It is expected to benefit approximately 80,000 professionals, who will receive 150 hours of training in a hybrid format.

– Architecture

Implementation and management

The grant will be awarded by Red.es to Unión Profesional, an organization that integrates 34 General and Superior Councils and Professional Associations at the national level. This network includes about 1,000 professional associations and represents around 1,700,000 professionals in Spain.

The actions covered by the grant will include:
– Training in digital skills
– Program dissemination and communication
– Support and assistance
– Project management
– Audit and legal advice
– Compliance with regulations
– Pedagogical and financial quality control

Deadlines and funding

The deadline for the implementation of eligible activities will extend until June 30, 2026. The total investment of 200 million euros comes from Component 19 of the National Digital Skills Plan, framed within the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

This initiative represents a significant step in the effort to drive digital transformation in Spain and prepare professionals for the technological challenges of the future.
