Pure Storage®, the pioneering technology company that offers advanced data storage technology and services, announced today three new advanced Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for its Storage as a Service (STaaS) platform. These new SLAs focus on cyber resilience and site rebalancing, providing organizations with increased capability to ensure outcomes and reduce risk in their critical data infrastructure.
Artificial intelligence is transforming businesses, but not always in a positive way. Cybercriminals are increasingly using AI to enhance the frequency and impact of their cyber attacks, especially through ransomware. However, existing IT infrastructure often lacks the necessary flexibility to quickly respond to these changes, protect data, and effectively recover when needed.
Pure Storage’s platform offers organizations an agile and secure solution, providing a simple and consistent storage platform, along with a service experience for a wide range of use cases on-premises, public cloud, and hosted environments. At the core of this platform is the Evergreen® architecture, known for its continuous and seamless updates that allow companies to adapt to dynamic business environments.
With a record in the industry for simultaneous service level agreements, Pure Storage ensures that its customers receive the reliability, performance, and sustainability they need. This platform, often imitated but never equaled, provides companies with the ability to keep up with rapid market changes and growing security challenges.
Pure continues to enhance its cyber resilience-focused solution offerings, including SafeMode for recovery after a ransomware attack. Additionally, it announced a series of innovations for its platform today, including:
– Enhanced SLA for recovery and cyber resilience: Building on the industry’s first ransomware recovery SLA, Evergreen//One™ expands its coverage to include disaster recovery scenarios. This new and improved SLA for recovery and cyber resilience provides a customized recovery plan, deploys a clean service infrastructure within a specified SLA, offers on-site installation, and provides additional professional services for data transfer. Pure will also collaborate with organizations to develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. The agreement also includes constant quarterly reviews to ensure best practices are followed, continuous risk assessments, and operational security issue remediation. This way, organizations can rest assured that if an unexpected disruptive event occurs, Pure will quickly respond to restore normal operation.
– New security assessment: The new assessment provides detailed visibility of risks across all resources and offers practical recommendations to maximize cyber resilience. Leveraging aggregated data from over 10,000 environments, the security assessment assigns a score from 0 to 5 that allows comparing the security posture across the entire storage fleet. It also indicates best practices to align with NIST 2.0 standards, advance regulatory compliance, address potential security anomalies, and quickly restore operation in case of security incidents. Additionally, the new AI co-pilot leverages the security assessment to provide Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) the ability to compare their security posture with other Pure Storage customers.
– New AI-based anomaly detection enhancement: Detect threats such as ransomware attacks, unusual activity, malicious behavior, and denial of service attacks through performance irregularities. This expands on previous ransomware detection based on data reduction anomalies. The extended detection uses multiple machine learning models running to identify unusual anomalous behaviors. The models analyze customer environments with historical data to detect anomalous patterns based on performance heuristics and user context on how storage is used. By leveraging this capability, customers can identify the latest known good snapshot to mitigate operational impact by quickly identifying recovery points to restore data, reducing risk and uncertainty.
In today’s market dynamism and competitive landscape, it is essential that IT infrastructures can adapt quickly. Pure Storage offers the only STaaS solution that can scale up and down the service level, and has further distanced itself from competitors by offering greater flexibility:
– New site rebalancing service level agreement: Evergreen//One’s site rebalancing SLA provides service flexibility to organizations looking to adjust their existing reserve commitments to adapt to changes in their storage needs. If there is no longer a capacity need at a specific site, if a data center is being consolidated, or if a site’s performance was overprovisioned and there is excess capacity that can be used elsewhere, the site rebalancing SLA allows organizations to rebalance their reserve commitments once every 12 months for each Evergreen//One subscription.
“Pure Storage continues to revolutionize enterprise data storage, steadfast in our mission to provide a simple, flexible, and resilient storage platform as a service that not only meets current data and storage management needs but also reduces future risks and uncertainties. With constant service improvements and a broad set of outcome-based SLAs, Pure is the only data storage platform ready to guarantee future innovations.” – Prakash Darji, GM, Digital Experience, Pure Storage.
“Today’s enterprises demand more than just technology; they seek guaranteed results.
