Pure Storage® has announced the launch of Portworx® for KubeVirt, the first software-defined storage solution focused on virtualization that offers a more cost-effective and lower-risk alternative to run virtual machine (VM) workloads on Kubernetes using the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Engine.
By combining Portworx by Pure Storage with the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Engine, companies can deploy and manage virtual machines in containers more easily, optimizing functionality and reducing the total cost of ownership.
With this new Portworx offering, focused exclusively on virtual machines, customers can address the current challenges of modern virtualization with an optimized solution that facilitates the migration and operation of applications in Kubernetes, providing a pathway to long-term application modernization.
