PepsiCo Partners with AWS to Drive Global Digital Transformation with AI and Connected Supply Chain

The multinational strengthens its cloud strategy with a strategic collaboration that integrates generative AI, personalized marketing, and predictive operations.

New York. PepsiCo has announced a multi-year strategic agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its global digital transformation. The alliance positions AWS as a key cloud provider for projects in artificial intelligence, IT modernization, logistics optimization, and consumer engagement customization.

The collaboration reinforces PepsiCo’s commitment to a “cloud-first” strategy, aiming to innovate more swiftly, scale critical operations, and apply digital intelligence at every level of the business. “This agreement will strengthen our mature cloud strategy and unlock new levels of agility and intelligence throughout the company,” said Athina Kanioura, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at PepsiCo.

A Comprehensive Technology Alliance

The collaboration spans the entire PepsiCo organization and involves the AWS Professional Services team. Key areas of focus include:

▸ Cloud Migration and IT Modernization

PepsiCo is moving its applications and workloads to AWS, allowing it to quickly test, iterate, and implement new technologies for employees and customers on a global scale.

▸ Generative AI Integration

PepsiCo’s internal generative AI platform, PepGenX, has been integrated with Amazon Bedrock, providing access to multimodal foundational models and agentic intelligence capabilities. This enables the development of strategic use cases in generative AI, driving automation and intelligent decision-making.

▸ Marketing Personalization and Consumer Connection

Thanks to AWS’s cloud infrastructure, PepsiCo can access real-time insights on advertising campaigns, conduct advanced audience segmentation, and provide hyper-personalized content and targeted marketing, especially across Amazon’s environments and audiences.

▸ Digital and Resilient Supply Chain

AWS and PepsiCo are exploring capabilities in predictive maintenance, logistical efficiency, and smart manufacturing across the global network of plants and distribution centers, optimizing resources and strengthening operational resilience.

An AI, Data, and Sustainability-Driven Transformation

With net revenues of nearly $92 billion in 2024, PepsiCo continues to pursue a vision that blends sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation. In the words of Matt Garman, CEO of AWS:

“PepsiCo is leveraging cloud and artificial intelligence to deliver more personalized experiences, optimize its supply chain, and develop new operational capabilities. We are proud to be their strategic partner in this transformation.”

The collaboration with AWS aligns with the pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) vision, which places sustainability and human capital at the center of business growth.
