OVHcloud opens a new ‘availability zone’ region in Paris.

OVHcloud, a European leader in cloud services, has announced today the launch of its new 3 Availability Zone (3-AZ) Region in Paris. This new availability zone aims to offer organizations a presence in three data centers located relatively close together, providing a combination of resilience and low latency. With this new region located in the heart of France, the Group offers unparalleled resilience for critical cloud projects, marking a new milestone that reflects the Group’s ambitions in supporting new strategic deployment patterns for the most demanding workloads.

Utilizing three distinct data centers located at least 30 km apart in the Paris region, the new 3-AZ Region in Paris benefits from different power sources and a low latency network. Data can be replicated for near-instant failover or simply distributed for scaling, providing organizations with maximum resilience to serve critical workloads on state-of-the-art Baremetal servers.

In a typical 3-AZ deployment scenario, customers will deploy a minimum of 3 dedicated Baremetal servers, available through OVHcloud’s Scale and HGR ranges, in 3 data centers located around Paris. This solution brings resilience to cloud infrastructure projects, including replicated database architectures, large-scale virtualization infrastructures, and distributed storage solutions.

“This launch is a significant step in our public cloud strategy. We are truly proud of this new offering that demonstrates our commitment to providing robust infrastructure that enables our customers to build highly available and resilient services and applications. The Paris region is just the beginning! In the future, we will also add our Public Cloud products to this solution, but we also have new 3-AZ regions on the way,” concluded Yaniv Fdida, CPTO of OVHcloud.

**Data Protection and Sustainability**

OVHcloud’s 3-AZ Region in Paris benefits from OVHcloud’s recognized infrastructure expertise, offering both a trusted cloud and environmentally friendly servers. With the highest standards of security and data protection in the form of ISO 27001 and HDS certification for selected services, data is immune to extraterritorial laws. OVHcloud’s Baremetal servers benefit from the Group’s custom water-cooling system, contributing to class-leading PUE/WUE ratios.

**Public Cloud Solutions Soon to Benefit from 3-AZ**

While Baremetal servers are the first OVHcloud solutions available in the new 3-AZ Region in Paris, the growing universe of Public Cloud, with its 40 products and solutions spanning 8 different services: security, computing, storage, databases, network services, analytics, AI, and quantum, will soon benefit from this new deployment model. Therefore, Object Storage will be available later in a 3-AZ to add extra resilience when storing data.

**Pricing and Availability**

The Scale and HGR range Baremetal servers are now available for orders in the new 3-AZ Region in Paris. All 2nd generation Scale servers are available at launch (except Scale GPU and A7 + A8). In the HGR ranges, HGR-HCI-a1 & HGR-HCI-a2 are available at launch. The rest of the 2nd generation HGR will soon be available except HGR-AI. Standard prices for selected Baremetal servers apply (x3) plus a setup fee.
