Oracle and Starlink: High-Speed Connectivity to Transform Business Communications

Oracle, a leader in software solutions and cloud technology, has announced a strategic collaboration with Starlink, the satellite internet service from SpaceX, to integrate its high-speed, low-latency connectivity into Oracle’s Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP). This development will enable businesses to access Oracle applications from anywhere in the world, even in the most remote areas, with support for real-time video and audio streaming.

Connectivity Without Geographic Barriers

The integration of Starlink’s satellite network, which operates in low Earth orbit, provides reliable and fast connectivity in over 100 countries and territories. This is particularly significant for areas with limited infrastructure or regions cut off by natural barriers such as deserts or mountains. Jason Fritch, Vice President of Business Sales at Starlink, emphasized that “this advancement allows cloud technology and real-time information access to reach every corner of the world, expanding the digital transformation possibilities for Oracle customers.”

Oracle ECP, built on Oracle’s high-performance and secure cloud infrastructure, unifies fixed, mobile, and now Starlink networks to securely manage critical cloud applications. This includes connected devices, IoT endpoints, and mobile applications, providing redundancy to maximize availability even during failures in primary connections.

Impact on Key Sectors

This collaboration has a direct impact on industries where real-time connectivity is crucial. In the healthcare sector, for instance, hospitals and rural clinics will be able to reliably access Oracle’s clinical applications, regardless of their location. Similarly, public safety agencies will ensure connection for first responders, even in areas without mobile coverage.

“By incorporating the proven performance of Starlink and its expansive network, we are enhancing global IoT connectivity, protecting critical operations, and ensuring data integrity in emergency situations,” stated Andrew Morawski, Executive Vice President of Oracle Communications. He also highlighted that this partnership establishes an intelligent communications foundation that will accelerate business transformation in sectors such as construction, hospitality, and utilities.

Visibility at Mobile World Congress

Oracle and Starlink will showcase the capabilities of this collaboration at the Mobile World Congress. Attendees can visit Oracle’s booth in Hall 2 (Stand 2I30) and Starlink’s booth in Hall 3 (Stand OA3B.20) for more detailed information about the ECP and Oracle’s enterprise communications solutions.
