Oracle and NVIDIA drive Sovereign Artificial Intelligence in the U.S. Government.

Oracle has announced the availability of NVIDIA AI Enterprise on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster within the Oracle U.S. Government Cloud region. This release strengthens the expansion of their collaboration with NVIDIA and aims to assist U.S. government customers in training and deploying artificial intelligence (AI) solutions utilizing over 100 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, which include generative AI services running on high-performance accelerators such as the NVIDIA H100 and NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs.

Oracle’s infrastructure is designed to meet the strict security, digital sovereignty, and compliance requirements necessary to develop, deploy, and operate AI enterprise solutions. NVIDIA AI Enterprise is a comprehensive, cloud-native software platform that streamlines and accelerates the development and deployment of production-grade AI applications. Government cloud customers can leverage NVIDIA AI Enterprise on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster for both model training and inference.

Included in NVIDIA AI Enterprise is NVIDIA NIM, a set of optimized, cloud-native inference microservices that simplify the deployment of generative AI models. Additionally, NVIDIA NeMo offers customers training and inference frameworks, as well as data curation tools. These resources are utilized by governments for tasks such as semantic search, document understanding, content clustering, and summarization.

Rand Waldron, Oracle’s Global Government Vice President, stated that government agencies previously faced limitations when deploying their AI initiatives. “With NVIDIA AI Enterprise on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster in our government cloud regions, we are leading the adoption and innovation of sovereign AI without compromising security,” Waldron affirmed.

Ian Buck, NVIDIA’s Vice President of Hyper-Scale Computing and HPC, highlighted that sovereign AI can be a transformative force for governments seeking innovation through generative AI while upholding strict security and compliance standards. “With NVIDIA AI Enterprise software on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, developers can utilize a complete accelerated computing platform to build secure, proprietary AI applications that help improve the operations and lives of the citizens they serve,” Buck explained.

With NVIDIA AI Enterprise on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster, government customers can:

– Harness Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster using NVIDIA A100 and NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs to build next-generation AI models.
– Access cloud hardware and networks that can sustain the bandwidth required for training large language models with ultra-low latency RDMA cluster networks.
– Utilize world-class development tools, frameworks, and pre-trained models for AI professionals, as well as reliable management and orchestration for IT professionals to ensure performance, high availability, and security.

This Oracle and NVIDIA service is available through private offerings on the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.
