OASIXCloud (Air Group) participated in the hybrid cloud debate organized by Newsbook.

Recently, OASIXCloud, part of Grupo Aire, participated in an important debate on hybrid cloud organized by Newsbook, a publication belonging to Grupo TAI. At this event, which brought together several recognized brands in the sector, the current state and opportunities of hybrid cloud in Spain were discussed.

OASIX was represented by its sales manager, Carlos Carrasco, who provided key insights on how companies can leverage hybrid cloud solutions more efficiently.

One of the main topics was the challenge that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face when adopting cloud solutions. It was emphasized that simplicity is essential for SMEs to take advantage of the benefits of the cloud, especially when they lack qualified personnel.

“In order for SMEs, who rely on external companies for their cloud solutions, to adopt these technologies without major difficulties, providers must eliminate complexities. Simplifying the integration of hybrid infrastructures is key to fostering their adoption,” one of the representatives commented.

Additionally, European regulatory compliance was highlighted as a competitive advantage over international providers. The importance of aligning services with local regulations to ensure the security and reliability of the solutions offered was emphasized.

Another point addressed was the crucial role that artificial intelligence (AI) plays in infrastructure deployments. It was emphasized that cloud providers must offer platforms capable of supporting the development and deployment of AI solutions, ensuring the scalability and performance necessary.

“The companies developing artificial intelligence require platforms that do not limit them. Investing in open standards is essential to avoid technological lock-in, something that still occurs in some proprietary offerings,” explained one of the participants.

The ability to support artificial intelligence with open and scalable platforms was pointed out as a crucial factor for sector growth.

Sustainability also played a key role in the debate, highlighting how this concept is increasingly being integrated into the strategies of cloud providers. Optimizing energy consumption in data centers not only contributes to sustainability but also makes companies more competitive by reducing costs.

“Consumers demand solutions that have the least possible impact on the environment. In the field of data centers, energy efficiency is key to being competitive,” the experts commented.

Regulatory compliance in sustainability was also highlighted as a driver for companies to adopt more environmentally friendly solutions.

The debate also emphasized the importance of having robust and reliable cloud infrastructure, especially during high-demand periods such as Black Friday. It was noted that the ability to quickly scale and manage large volumes of traffic is essential to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted user experience.

“Investing in efficient cloud infrastructure is essential to support traffic spikes without compromising website performance. This is crucial in events like Black Friday, where demand can increase exponentially,” the specialists emphasized.

The use of cloud hosting services allows companies to adapt their capacity according to the needs of the moment, thus avoiding service interruptions during periods of high demand.

Regarding the partner ecosystem, it was mentioned that the traditional on-premise infrastructure model is losing ground to cloud-based solutions. Although the on-premise model still has its place, more and more companies are migrating to cloud-based models due to their greater resilience and scalability.

“Partners are realizing that traditional infrastructure generates less value and requires more work compared to cloud solutions, which offer a recurring model with greater long-term benefits,” highlighted in the event.

However, experts agreed that the on-premise business will not disappear but will be increasingly complemented by hybrid and cloud solutions.

Finally, the debate highlighted the importance of local proposals compared to large international providers. In the case of OASIX, its ability to offer services through more than 20 data centers in the Iberian Peninsula was emphasized, allowing them to be closer to their customers and offer a more personalized service.

“The proximity to our customers is our greatest differential compared to large international providers. We can better understand their needs and offer them solutions tailored to the local market,” concluded the OASIX participants.

Conclusion:

The debate on hybrid cloud organized by Newsbook emphasized the importance of simplifying the adoption of cloud solutions for SMEs, ensuring European regulatory compliance, and enabling infrastructures that support artificial intelligence. Sustainability, both in terms of energy efficiency and regulations, was also a key theme. Additionally, the shift towards recurring cloud solutions and the importance of local proposals, such as OASIX’s, which offer a more tailored experience to the needs of the Spanish and Portuguese markets, were highlighted.
