NXN Datacenters invests 60 million euros in Data Center in Valencia.

The company, owned by Nethits Telecom, will build a data center called NXN-VLC1 in the Vara de Quart Industrial Park. According to a report by Datacenter Market, the project is expected to be operational by the year 2026 and will provide a 6MW IT capacity in a 5,000 square meter space, including 1,500 square meters dedicated exclusively to IT.

This new data center will be the largest in the Valencian Community, highlighting the strategic importance of the location. The complex will not only serve the region but also act as a connection point with North Africa, Southern Europe, Portugal, and the American continent.

NXN Datacenters was founded in 2023 by Nethits Telecom Group with the aim of meeting the international demand in locations with limited digital infrastructure. The significant investment made in this project underscores the company’s commitment to driving digital development in Southern Europe.

The NXN Datacenters project comes at a time of growing demand for reliable, scalable, and sustainable data infrastructures. Valencia’s strategic location, coupled with its ability to attract talent and its growing digital economy, position it as a key location for this global transformation.

Previously, it had been reported that Nethits Telecom was considering building a data center in Valencia since 2021. The initial plans were abandoned when Nixval presented proposals in 2022 to build a data center in the same area. Additionally, in July 2023, the Valencia City Council ruled out plans to develop a data center in a building at the port docks, paving the way for the current NXN Datacenters project.

With this new development, NXN Datacenters will not only strengthen the digital infrastructure of the Valencian Community but also contribute to positioning Spain as a relevant player in the field of data centers globally.
