NxN Data Center receives over five million euros from the government for its new data center in Valencia

Valencian tech company NxN Data Center has secured the highest amount of funding in the Valencian Community within the national regional incentives program for industry. According to the Official State Bulletin (BOE), the company has received €5.49 million in public aid to build a high-capacity data center in the Vara de Quart industrial park in Valencia.

The project, with a total investment nearing €60 million, aims to provide Southern Europe with crucial infrastructure focused on supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cloud services, and advanced communications. This will be NxN’s first facility in the region and is part of its international expansion strategy in partnership with Nethits Telecom Group, based in Valencia, and the UK investment fund Adequita Capital.

This initiative strengthens the Valencian Community’s position as a strategic hub in the Mediterranean data center landscape amid rising demand for AI infrastructure and low-latency digital services.

The government sees these projects as part of efforts to modernize industry, drive digital transformation, and improve energy efficiency across companies. In this case, the subsidy granted to NxN covers part of a project valued at nearly €25 million, with the final investment expected to more than double that amount.

The grants, which are non-repayable, are contingent upon the full execution of the project as proposed, including deadlines, technological goals, and employment commitments.

The BOE announcement also details aid granted to nine other regional companies, which collectively received over €9.6 million for expansion and digitalization plans, with total investments exceeding €55 million.

Notable initiatives include:

  • Xuker ASC 21 (Alicante): €9.7 million investment; €1.26 million subsidy
  • Somtech Technologies (Valencia): €2.15 million investment; €538,393 in aid
  • Vallés Plastic Film (Valencia): €2.8 million investment; €336,000 subsidized
  • Amadeo Martí Carbonell (Castellón): €5.78 million investment; €809,471 aid
  • Hilaturas Miel (Alicante): €2.19 million investment; €175,306 in aid

While these grants target manufacturing industries, they increasingly include technological and digital components, highlighting the cross-sector nature of digital transformation.

The Valencia facility will enable NxN to provide low-latency services to European clients—crucial for sectors like e-commerce, generative AI, telemedicine, and big data analytics. Additionally, state support reinforces NxN’s position as an independent provider of critical infrastructure, in a landscape dominated by major cloud providers.

NxN’s presence may also catalyze a more competitive regional digital ecosystem, attracting startups, tech companies, and innovation initiatives supported by universities and public institutions.
