During CES 2025, NVIDIA introduced Project DIGITS, a personal artificial intelligence supercomputer that puts the power of the Grace Blackwell platform into the hands of researchers, data scientists, and students worldwide. This innovative device features the new NVIDIA GB10 Superchip, which delivers one petaflop of computational performance for developing, fine-tuning, and running large-scale AI models.
The World’s Smallest Supercomputer for 200 Billion Parameter Models
The GB10 Superchip, based on the Grace Blackwell architecture, is a system-on-chip (SoCAn SoC, short for Security Operations Center (also known as…)) that redefines AI capabilities. It includes:
- An NVIDIA Blackwell GPU with next-generation CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores.
- An NVIDIA Grace CPU with 20 energy-efficient cores designed with ARM architecture.
- NVLink-C2C connectivity, ensuring high-speed interconnects between components.
With just a standard plug, Project DIGITS offers up to 1 petaflop of performance at FP4 precision, 128GB of unified memory, and up to 4TB of NVMe storage. It also allows linking two devices to run models with up to 405 billion parameters using NVIDIA ConnectX connectivity.
From Local Experimentation to Large-Scale Implementation
The design of Project DIGITS makes it easier for businesses and developers to:
- Prototype and fine-tune AI models on their own local systems using the NVIDIA DGX OS based on Linux.
- Scale their developments in the cloud through NVIDIA DGX Cloud or data centers compatible with the Grace Blackwell architecture.
The software ecosystem includes key tools such as NVIDIA NeMo™, NVIDIA RAPIDS™, and frameworks like PyTorch, Python, and Jupyter notebooks, available in the NVIDIA NGC catalog and the NVIDIA Developer portal.
Driving AI Application Development
Project DIGITS also provides access to advanced tools such as:
- NVIDIA Blueprints, for designing agent-based AI applications.
- NVIDIA NIM™ Microservices, ideal for developing and testing new applications.
- NVIDIA AI Enterprise, which ensures a seamless transition from testing to production environments, offering enterprise-grade security and technical support.
Availability and Pricing
Project DIGITS will be available starting May 2025, with a starting price of over €3,000. Interested parties can already register to receive notifications on NVIDIA’s official website.
With this launch, NVIDIA solidifies its vision of bringing AI to every corner, empowering developers to lead the next era of technological innovation from their own desks.
