NVIDIA Appoints Ellen Ochoa to Its Board of Directors

NVIDIA announced the appointment of Ellen Ochoa to its board of directors. Ochoa is a distinguished former director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center and the first Latina astronaut to travel to space. With this appointment, NVIDIA aims to strengthen its leadership in the tech sector by adding Ochoa’s extensive experience and innovative perspective to its future plans.

At 66 years old, Ochoa has a solid academic background in physics and electrical engineering, with a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and master’s and doctoral degrees from Stanford University. Additionally, NVIDIA’s new board member serves on the boards of Service Corporation International, where she chairs the compensation committee and is a member of the investment committee, and Mutual of America Financial Group, where she is involved with the nomination and products and marketing committees.

This appointment increases the total number of members on NVIDIA’s board to 13, enhancing the diversity of voices and perspectives that will contribute to the company’s growth and innovation in a continuously evolving context of advanced technologies and AI solutions.
