NTT DATA has opened two new AI Factories in Paris and Singapore, adding to the ones it already had in Plano, Texas, and Riyadh, and to the one opened on October 7 in Munich. These are hands-on environments where companies can test how to deploy, secure, govern, and operate their priority AI use cases at scale before committing to a major investment. The network relies on Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, the joint infrastructure Cisco and NVIDIA built for enterprise AI.
NTT DATA’s AI Factories in 20 seconds
- The new Paris and Singapore sites opened in October 2026.
- With Plano, Riyadh, and Munich, the network now totals five centers across four regions.
- They’re used to test AI use cases before taking them into production.
- NTT DATA does not disclose investment figures, clients, or compute capacity.
The Japanese company announced the expansion on October 27, 2026, from London, and its Peruvian subsidiary published the Spanish-language version on November 3. The stated goal is to help clients move from pilot projects to production, a transition where many AI initiatives get stuck. According to NTT DATA, its own market research shows that executives want more certainty about performance and business value before scaling, though the statement doesn’t provide figures from that research.
Five centers across four regions
The network covers North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. The first AI Factory opened in Plano, in the Dallas area, and another was already running in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Paris and Singapore now join them. The announcement also presents the Munich AI Factory, opened on October 7 at NTT Global Data Centers’ Munich 2 data center, as a complement to those four, which brings the total to five, though the company doesn’t state the figure explicitly.
At these sites, business and technology leaders can evaluate their AI workloads against real-world needs: infrastructure architecture, performance, where each workload should run, and its cost. The demonstrations cover employee productivity, customer experience, intelligent operations, cybersecurity, networking, software development, and processes specific to different industries. NTT DATA offers discovery workshops, in-depth technical sessions, proof-of-concept planning, and solution design.
The company had already laid out its approach in March, when it launched AI factories with NVIDIA to bring agents into production. What’s new now is the physical network of centers where clients can see and test those solutions firsthand.
Cisco and NVIDIA across the network, Dell and NVIDIA in Munich
The expansion announcement credits the technology foundation to Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, an architecture Cisco and NVIDIA are developing together and which Cisco has brought to full rack-scale systems. It doesn’t detail which GPUs, servers, or compute capacity each site has.
Munich’s case is different, and it’s one of the nuances the statement doesn’t clarify. According to that site’s own announcement, from October 7, its partners are NVIDIA and Dell Technologies, with no mention of Cisco. NVIDIA contributes Blackwell GPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, and its AI Enterprise software, while Dell supplies AI-optimized servers and storage as part of its Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA offering. That site focuses on sovereign AI: it lets clients run their own applications and data within their jurisdictional boundaries, with data-residency controls aligned to local regulation, and it showcases use cases in banking, manufacturing, and healthcare. It operates inside a live, production data center and is visited by appointment.
Dilip Kumar, of NTT DATA, argues in the statement that AI at scale ultimately comes down to turning intelligence into measurable business impact. Cassie Roach, Cisco’s global vice president of sales for AI infrastructure and connectivity partners, adds that scaling AI goes well beyond compute capacity. The statement also includes a comment from Chris Barnard, vice president of network and infrastructure services at IDC, for whom getting results from AI starts with building the right AI Factory foundation with solid governance.
What the announcement leaves out, and where the versions differ
The announcement includes no investment figures, no clients who have already used the facilities, no compute capacity, and no timeline for further openings. Nor does it explain whether the AI Factories host clients’ production workloads or serve only as testing and demonstration environments, except for Munich, which is presented as a space inside a real data center. The only figures given are corporate ones: NTT DATA reports more than $30 billion in revenue, works with 75% of the Fortune Global 100, and its group invests more than $3 billion a year in R&D.
The Peruvian version, dated November 3, keeps the phrase “this month” for the Paris and Singapore openings, even though the original statement is from October 27 and refers, therefore, to October. It also changes Dilip Kumar’s title: the Spanish-language version presents him as President of Technology Solutions at NTT DATA, Inc., while the global version identifies him as President and Global Head of Infrastructure Solutions.
For Spanish companies, the closest sites are Paris and Munich. The latter is especially relevant for European organizations that need to validate sovereignty and data-residency requirements before taking AI into production.
Frequently asked questions
What is an NTT DATA AI Factory?
It’s a hands-on environment where companies test how to deploy, secure, govern, and operate AI use cases at scale, evaluating architecture, performance, workload placement, and costs before taking them into production.
Where does NTT DATA have its AI Factories?
In Plano (Texas), Riyadh, Paris, Singapore, and Munich, across four regions: North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
What technology do NTT DATA’s AI Factories use?
The network relies on Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA. The Munich site, according to its own announcement, uses NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and Spectrum-X networking with Dell servers and storage.
