NorthC Accelerates Its Expansion with New Data Centers in Europe

NorthC, a leading provider of regional data center services in the Benelux and DACH regions, has announced a significant expansion in Europe for 2025 and 2026. The company will open new facilities in Frankfurt and Berlin, solidifying its position as a key player in providing sustainable and reliable IT infrastructure in response to the growing demand across the continent.

Strategic Expansion in Germany

NorthC plans to build its second data center in Frankfurt, one of Europe’s leading economic hubs. This project, with its first phase featuring an IT load capacity of 1.5 MW, will grow in the coming years to reach 10.5 MW.

In parallel, the company is entering the dynamic Berlin market by converting an existing building into a state-of-the-art data center. Initially, it will offer a capacity of 3 MW, expandable to 8 MW.

Both projects underscore NorthC’s mission to lead the digital transformation in Europe by providing advanced and sustainable colocation and connectivity solutions.

Sustainability as a Core Focus

NorthC reinforces its commitment to sustainability through investments in green technologies, including:

  • Use of renewable energy to power its facilities.
  • Implementation of backup systems using hydrogen as a power source.
  • Reuse of waste heat to reduce environmental impact.

Alexandra Schless, CEO of NorthC, emphasized: “The increasing digitalization of businesses and government services is driving the need for sustainable, scalable, and reliable IT infrastructure. These new locations represent a crucial step in our growth strategy.”

Growth in Existing Markets

In addition to the new facilities, NorthC will increase the capacity of its existing data centers:

  • In Germany, capacity will be expanded in Munich and Nuremberg.
  • In the Netherlands, an additional 11 MW will be added in Almere, Rotterdam, Aalsmeer, and Eindhoven during 2025.

These expansions will enable NorthC to respond to the growing demand for high-quality IT infrastructure in its key markets, ensuring robust coverage across Europe.

Regional Leadership with a Forward-Looking Vision

With over 20 data centers in Europe, NorthC reaffirms its commitment to providing regional colocation and connectivity solutions, working closely with technology partners and network providers. This expansion strengthens its position as one of the most innovative and sustainable data center providers on the continent.

Conclusion

With this ambitious strategy, NorthC not only addresses the growing demand for IT services but also sets a standard for sustainability and efficiency in the data center industry. These initiatives position NorthC as a key leader in the digital transformation of Europe.
