The integration of visitor management technology expands the Avigilon Alta suite with smarter and more secure cloud solutions.
Motorola Solutions has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire InVisit, a company specializing in cloud-based visitor management solutions headquartered in Calabasas, California. With this acquisition, Motorola continues to expand its Avigilon Alta enterprise security platform, aimed at providing comprehensive protection for people, operations, and assets in complex and dynamic corporate environments.
InVisit offers a scalable and flexible solution designed to adapt to sectors such as corporate offices, multi-tenant buildings, educational institutions, and healthcare centers. Its technology efficiently manages visitor access and enhances security at facilities with multiple locations, while also addressing specific regulatory compliance requirements.
Visitor security and experience in one system

InVisit’s technology allows for answers to critical questions such as: Who is this person? Should they have access? Who is in the building in case of an emergency? Its features include automatic visitor registration, access control, host notifications, and real-time monitoring of entry and exit activity. Additionally, it improves security through blacklist filtering and agile responses in case of evacuation.

A unified platform manageable from mobile devices
Once the transaction is complete, InVisit will be integrated into the Avigilon Alta suite, which already offers video surveillance, access control, intercoms, 24/7 virtual monitoring, package management, wireless locks, and now intelligent visitor management. The solution is available in the Avigilon Alta App Marketplace, allowing organizations to incorporate new functionalities from their mobile devices.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2025, once all closing conditions are satisfied. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
