From July 4th to 7th, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2024 and the High-Level Meeting on Global Artificial Intelligence Governance (WAIC 2024) were successfully held in Shanghai, jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Information Office of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and the Shanghai Municipal Government.
Moore Threads made its first appearance at WAIC as the intelligent computing base of the artificial intelligence era, showcasing its complete AI products and WanKa computing cluster solution. During the conference, Moore Threads was invited to participate in various forums, collaborating with partners such as China Mobile, China Unicom, and ZTE to jointly build an industrial ecosystem and discuss the development and application of general artificial intelligence.

In the WAIC exhibition area, Moore Threads showcased its results under the theme “Complete AI to accelerate a better world,” organizing three main sections: “WanKa Kuai’e: Building an efficient AI computing base,” “Unlocking creative productivity,” and “Industry upgrade with AI + digitalization.” Products exhibited included Moore Threads’ full-function GPU, the intelligent calculation accelerator card for large models MTT S4000, the integrated machine for training and inference of large AI models MCCX D800, the AI hiperconvergent machine KUAE FUSION, the smart calculation cluster solution WanKa (KUAE), and AIGC applications, all part of the company’s complete AI offering.
During the “AI Magic Box Roadshow,” Moore Threads presented its WanKa computing cluster solution. This cluster can scale from thousands to tens of thousands of GPUs, meeting the needs of large-scale computing, general computation, and ecosystem compatibility in the era of large models.
Building an Open and Collaborative AI Ecosystem
Throughout the conference, Moore Threads participated in various forums and collaborated with partners to build an industrial ecosystem.
In the main scientific advances forum organized by the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the Global AI Universities Alliance (GAIAA), Moore Threads joined the “DeepLink Cooperative Ecology Plan” launched by the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. This plan aims to build a neutral and efficient bridge for computing capacity providers and users, facilitating the exchange and connection of needs.
Zhou Yuan, co-founder and COO of Moore Threads, attended the China Mobile ecosystem forum entitled “Empowered AI, creating the future,” alongside over ten ecosystem companies, to launch the “China Mobile AI Ecosystem Plan.” This initiative seeks to build a more open and collaborative AI ecosystem, driving technological innovation and industrial integration.
In China Unicom’s “IA+ Empowering the Future” forum, Moore Threads, as a founding member of the Shanghai AI Alliance, participated in the launch of a new joint initiative to build a complete AI industrial chain. Additionally, Moore Threads attended ZTE’s AI ecosystem innovation forum, where the promotion and development of AI technology were discussed.
At WAIC 2024, Moore Threads and numerous industrial partners showcased applications of large model intelligent computing cluster WanKa in meteorology, smart transportation, public security, smart governance, smart finance, among others. Moore Threads’ products were also exhibited at partner stands such as Transwarp, Inspur, Lenovo, ZTE, and Sugon, attracting significant attention from attendees.
