Minsait, a company of Indra, has been awarded at the recent Hackathon Soy Capaz IA Inclusiva, organized by Microsoft in collaboration with Fundación MAPFRE, Plena Inclusión Madrid, and Fundación Gmp. The event recognized Minsait for its outstanding ability to use technology and artificial intelligence for the purpose of inclusion, helping to reduce the digital divide.
The company received the prestigious Innovation Guardians and Inclusive Horizon Awards, in recognition of its commitment to innovation and functional diversity. These awards highlight Minsait’s efforts to develop AI-based technological solutions that significantly improve the lives of people with functional diversity. Minsait’s project was voted as the one that best covered the needs of different groups, receiving the support of people with intellectual disabilities from Plena Inclusión Madrid who participated in the hackathon.
Palzy: Digital Empathy in Action
Minsait presented “Palzy. More than technology, digital empathy,” an innovative application equipped with artificial intelligence designed to assist people with functional diversities in their daily lives. Palzy offers a personalized and accessible agenda, providing tailored recommendations in areas such as series, food, music, and personalized treatments. Additionally, the application features gamification functionalities that allow users to earn medals through daily mini challenges, encouraging healthy habits and playful activities.
One of the standout features of Palzy is its ability to alert and inform family members and support people about the activities of users, providing effective monitoring of their needs and well-being. This aspect of the application promotes greater independence for users and fosters a special connection with the system through personalized coaching based on AI.
People-Centered Methodology
The project was developed under the “People Center Design” methodology, an approach focused on people that ensures technological solutions directly respond to the needs of users. This methodology highlights Minsait’s commitment to creating empathetic and accessible technology.
