The Italian company specializing in edge video distribution strengthens its commitment to an open, competitive, and sovereign digital infrastructure in Europe.
MainStreaming, a European company recognized for its innovative smart video delivery platform, has officially announced its membership in Euro Stack, a pan-European initiative that brings together technology companies and organizations focused on building a sovereign digital ecosystem in Europe. The company has also signed the Euro Stack Open Letter addressed to the European Commission, urging the promotion of policies that support innovation, technological autonomy, and fair competition.
A European-branded digital infrastructure
The Euro Stack initiative aims to mobilize key players from sectors such as cloud computing, digital platforms, and ICT services to create a “European tech stack” that reduces dependence on external providers, fosters interoperability, and ensures that European values—such as data privacy and the protection of digital rights—remain the foundation of the continent’s digital future.
“Joining Euro Stack is a natural step for MainStreaming, as we share the mission of building a sovereign and collaborative European digital ecosystem,” stated Antonio Corrado, founder and president of MainStreaming. “We already work with broadcasters, telecom operators, and large enterprises in Europe. Through collective action, we can accelerate innovation and safeguard Europe’s digital future.”
Commitment to efficiency and sovereignty in video delivery
MainStreaming is developing an Intelligent Media Delivery Platform that allows OTT operators, broadcasters, and distribution networks to directly control the video streaming process, from infrastructure to end-users. This solution aligns with the fundamental principles of Euro Stack: openness, interoperability, and technological autonomy.
In addition to improving quality of service (QoS), MainStreaming’s solution promises greater energy and operational efficiency, reinforcing its value in the context of the ecological and digital transition within the European Union.
Over 200 organizations advocating for digital autonomy
By signing the Euro Stack Open Letter, MainStreaming joins more than 200 European tech organizations calling on Brussels to establish regulatory frameworks that support the development of homegrown technologies. The document emphasizes the need for promoting open standards, making strategic investments, and encouraging fair competition against the dominance of foreign technological solutions.
This movement is part of a growing trend at the European level: creating an independent tech stack that combines digital sovereignty, infrastructure resilience, and global competitiveness, in line with parallel initiatives such as GAIA-X and the EU Data Act.
A long-term vision for digital transformation
“Europe has the talent, innovation, and determination necessary to lead the next era of digital transformation,” concluded Corrado. “But this requires a firm commitment from both the private sector and governments to invest in sovereign technologies and collaborate for the benefit of the continent’s digital future.”
