The fourth edition of Madrid Tech Show, the leading event in cloud, cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence, data centers, eCommerce, and digital marketing, has concluded with a resounding success by bringing together more than 22,500 attendees, representing a 29% increase compared to the previous year. This growth has surpassed the initial expectations, which forecasted a 22% increase. Additionally, the profile of the attendees has been noteworthy for their relevance, as 32% of participants hold top-level executive positions, including CEOs of technology companies.
The event, which took place at IFEMA on October 16 and 17, gathered over 400 exhibiting companies and 350 national and international speakers who addressed the challenges and trends in the technology sector. Agustín Torres, president of CloserStill Media Spain, the event organizer, highlighted the success of this edition: “Madrid is consolidating its position as the epicenter of technological decision-making in Europe. The attendance and the level of participants are evidence of this. We can already announce that over 75% of exhibitors have confirmed their participation for 2025, which requires us to expand the fair with a new pavilion, thereby exceeding 25,000 square meters of space.”
Madrid, technological capital of Europe
With the celebration of Madrid Tech Show, the Spanish capital has reaffirmed itself as one of the main centers of technological innovation in Europe. Since its first edition in 2021, the event has seen a 140% growth in the number of visitors, from 7,500 in its inaugural year to over 22,500 in this latest edition. Likewise, the number of exhibitors has doubled, from 200 to 400, solidifying Madrid as a key reference point for the sector.
During these two days, important presentations were made on the future of digital commerce, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, among other topics. Among the most prominent speakers, Ana Martínez Madarnás, Global Traffic Manager at LOEWE, reflected on the integration of digital and analog channels to offer a richer customer experience. Meanwhile, Guillermo Barberá, Director of Ecommerce Sales at Samsung, and Julián Martín, Head of Payments and Partnerships at Miravia, discussed the impact of flexible payments on the growth of digital commerce, especially among younger generations.
Towards Madrid Tech Week 2025
This year’s event has also served as the platform for the official launch of Madrid Tech Week, to be held in October 2025. The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, presented the initiative aiming to establish Madrid as the European capital of technology, in collaboration with IFEMA, the Madrid City Council, and the Chamber of Commerce. This technology week will combine Madrid Tech Show with the Global Mobility Call, attracting over 30,000 visitors and 700 top-level exhibitors, including companies such as Google, IBM, Grupo Aire (Oasixcloud, Stackscale,…), Amazon, and Uber among its main participants.
The 2025 edition promises to be even more ambitious, not only with the expansion of space at IFEMA but also with the inclusion of activities organized by public and private entities that will turn Madrid into the technological epicenter of Europe.
