Lefebvre Sarrut and PwC Tax & Legal Spain sign a strategic agreement to lead generative artificial intelligence in the legal sector.

Lefebvr Sarrut, a European leader in legal and tax knowledge and a pioneer in the application of artificial intelligence in the legal sector, has signed a strategic agreement with PwC Tax & Legal to create a specific generative AI solution for legal professionals in Spain.

Thanks to the agreement, the PwC Tax & Legal AI platform will have access to the most extensive legislative, legal, and tax content provided by Lefebvre. The new platform, operational in the upcoming months, will be available for legal and tax advisory firms as well as companies through licensing agreements.

By the end of the year, more than half of the 1,000 professionals at PwC in Spain will use this platform to support the provision of legal and tax advisory services. This strategic alliance will facilitate the integration of one of the most powerful generative artificial intelligence tools in the legal world with the most comprehensive documentary information in the Spanish market.

Olivier Campenon, CEO of Lefebvre Sarrut, stated: “This strategic agreement aligns with our purpose, which is to activate knowledge for a fairer, more efficient, and sustainable society.” José Ángel Sandín, CEO of Lefebvre, added: “Our leadership in this field is not accidental: as an AI-driven company, Lefebvre Sarrut offers a unique documentary background along with exceptional knowledge search technology that allows us to provide services like GenIA-L or AI Access, which are part of our group’s solutions portfolio.”

According to Joaquín Latorre, partner responsible for PwC Tax & Legal Spain, “Generative AI will open unprecedented possibilities and is already transforming the way our professionals and clients work. We have been conducting internal tests and analyzing support cases for our professionals for a few months. Now, we are taking a step further as this agreement represents a revolution in the Spanish market by combining the AI analysis capabilities of PwC’s customized version of the Harvey platform with the most comprehensive tax and legal content from Lefebvre, the Spanish brand of the European group Lefebvre Sarrut, and the knowledge and experience of our lawyers and tax advisors.”

Lefebvre Sarrut, a group of which Lefebvre is a part, became in March 2023 the first European legal operator to offer an integrated generative artificial intelligence solution with its own legal contents. New platforms like Lefebvre’s GenIA-L can simplify and streamline the work of professional firms, specialized firms, corporate legal departments, alternative legal service providers, consulting firms, and the Justice Administration.
