InterCloud becomes the first company based outside of Switzerland to obtain the Secure Swiss Finance Network (SSFN) certification.

InterCloud, a leading provider of software-defined cloud interconnection (SDCI), has received the Secure Swiss Finance Network (SSFN) certification, making it the first company based outside of Switzerland to integrate its services into this network. This new certification allows for easy connectivity to the SSFN infrastructure, which is necessary for banks in Spain to communicate with SIX, other financial market infrastructures, and each other. By the end of September 2024, the current approach to accessing banking infrastructure services, Finance IPNet, will be replaced by the Secure Swiss Finance Network (SSFN).

This announcement from InterCloud further strengthens its capabilities to offer comprehensive management of critical network infrastructure for financial institutions. Clients needing to connect to the SSFN now have access to a specialized experience that no other SSFN-certified company can currently offer outside of Switzerland.

InterCloud’s offering is a fully managed end-to-end service, providing Spanish banks with easy access to the company’s infrastructure and helping facilitate their transition to the SSFN quickly.

The company’s international positioning is another advantage, bringing global connectivity expertise to help businesses across all sectors optimize their cloud connectivity, enhance security, and provide critical resilience to maintain operations and connectivity.

“The announcement of our SSFN certification is another step forward in the company’s continued growth,” said Alejandro Gutiérrez Millán, Director of Sales for Southern Europe at InterCloud. “Becoming the first managed network connectivity provider outside of Switzerland to obtain this certification means we can facilitate connection to the SSFN for banks based in Spain and support them in meeting requirements at the fast pace now required. Now is the time to act. Above all, in line with our commitment to the market in Spain, we offer the thriving financial services market in Spain new ways to enhance and drive their business beyond SSFN connectivity,” he adds.
