On the eve of Computex 2025, Intel commemorated four decades of presence and innovation in Taiwan with a special event that brought together more than 185 strategic partners. The event, held in Taipei, was led by Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who emphasized the crucial importance of collaboration with the Taiwanese ecosystem in the global development of x86 architecture and the advancement of modern computing.
“For the past 40 years, the power of our alliance with Taiwan’s ecosystem has driven innovation that has transformed our world for the better,” Tan stated during his speech.
The celebration was not only a tribute to the past but also a reaffirmation of Intel’s commitment to the future of technology. The executive assured that the company will renew its focus on collaboration with local partners to design and manufacture the products that will define the next generation of computing.
Taiwan: The Technological Heart of the World
The event also highlighted Taiwan’s role as a central hub in the global semiconductor supply chain. Almost all modern digital devices have some connection to Taiwanese companies, whether as manufacturers, designers, or key component suppliers.
“We are building a new Intel for the future,” Tan added. “Together, we will create extraordinary products that will delight our customers and enable us to seize the tremendous opportunities ahead.”
A Boost for the Future of AI and Workstations
Coinciding with this celebration, Intel announced this week new products at Computex 2025, including its new line of AI-focused GPUs, workstations, and edge computing solutions. These products are designed to deliver high performance for intensive workloads while leveraging the potential of collaboration with partners in Taiwan for their manufacturing and global scaling.
