The digital transformation will continue to be a priority for Latin American companies in the coming years, with a growing focus on cloud-based solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption.
According to the Think Digital Report 2023 survey by Inesdi Business Techschool, 16% of companies started their transformation six years ago or more, compared to 11% in 2022. Additionally, 72% of companies that had not yet begun the process plan to do so by 2024.
Objective of Digital Transformation: Organizational Competitiveness
The goal of digital transformation is to increase the competitiveness of organizations through the adoption of cloud-based solutions and maximizing the power of artificial intelligence (AI).
Intel and Softtek: A Strategic Alliance
Intel, with its wide range of solutions to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise systems, cloud environments, and AI workloads, has partnered with Softtek. Softtek brings its consultative capabilities, service models, and geographical coverage to bring these solutions to a wide range of organizations in the Americas.
“Together with Intel, we can help our clients improve their performance, optimize costs, and create future-ready solutions,” said Blanca Treviño, president and CEO of Softtek. “In this first phase, we will focus on artificial intelligence, enterprise systems, infrastructure, and cloud.”
Artificial Intelligence: A Fundamental Pillar
Softtek is one of the leading partners in the region for specialized architectures like Intel® Gaudi® AI accelerators. These are designed to bring a new level of productivity and options to data center generative AI. Additionally, Softtek uses Intel’s openVINO™ toolkit to optimize its Deep Learning models.
Enterprise Systems and Open Standards
In enterprise systems solutions, Softtek uses Intel’s open standard oneAPI to optimize its workloads. This translates to value for its clients by offering optimized libraries for programming and tools to identify bottlenecks in code workflows.
Infrastructure and Hardware
Regarding infrastructure, Intel provides its hardware solutions from edge to data centers, including Intel® Core™ processors, Intel® Core™ Ultra, and Intel® Xeon®.
Cloud Solutions
Intel advises Softtek on where their workloads are running, making recommendations to improve performance or reduce costs by changing instances. Both companies also collaborate on optimizing workloads directly on the code.
Integration of Solutions and Experience
This alliance will allow the integration of both companies’ solutions to offer higher value technologies, leveraging their years of industry experience to give companies a competitive edge and drive their business strategies.
Significant Presence in Latin America
Both Intel and Softtek have a significant presence in Latin America, with decades of activity in the region. Softtek has been providing solutions to enable Intel’s operations since 2015. This is the second agreement Intel has signed with a Latin American company, highlighting the region’s relevance to its business.
This collaboration marks a milestone in the digital transformation of Latin American companies, promising a more efficient and competitive future.
