Huawei, Leader in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for Data Center Networking

Huawei has been recognized as a leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant 2025 for data center switching, standing out as the company with the highest “completeness of vision” in this category. The report, published on March 31 by the prestigious analysis firm, positions Huawei favorably against other providers, thanks to its continuous innovations in intelligent networking and its advanced offerings for AI-driven infrastructure.

An Architecture Designed for the Future

The recognition from Gartner is based, in part, on improvements Huawei has made to its Xinghe Intelligent Fabric solution, a three-layer network architecture designed to meet the growing demands of Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing. This solution includes:

  • AI Brain, an automation system that allows efficient deployment of processes, simulates network and security scenarios, and automatically resolves up to 80% of detected failures.
  • AI Connection, featuring a load balancing algorithm (NSLB) that enhances route planning and avoids bottlenecks, increasing the efficiency of model training by over 10%.
  • AI NEs, integrating CloudEngine series switches and new StarryLink optical modules, allows real-time visual monitoring of traffic, packet loss, and network delays.

New CloudEngine Switches: More Density and Liquid Cooling

Among the major innovations introduced in 2025, the CloudEngine XH9330 stands out with a record density of 128 ports 800GE, and the XH9230, the first fixed switch with liquid cooling featuring 128 ports 400GE. These capabilities break through the scalability limitations of AI clusters, and its exclusive iFlashboot technology allows for the maintenance of model training even in the event of unexpected reboots.

StarryLink: Optical Innovation for Data

The new StarryLink optical modules, showcased at the 2025 Mobile World Congress, represent a significant leap forward in transmission, stability, and security:

  • Greater Range: An exclusive optical algorithm doubles the typical transmission distances in the industry.
  • Quick Diagnosis: Detection and localization of faulty links in minutes, compared to the industry standard of three hours.
  • Physical Encryption: With the integration of PHYSEC encryption at the physical layer, all packets are transmitted securely, eliminating data leakage risks.

A Step Closer to Intelligent Transformation

Huawei has strengthened its commitment to leading the digital and intelligent transformation of enterprise networks. Through the expansion of its CloudEngine switch range and ongoing development of cutting-edge technologies, the company aims to drive the evolution of data centers towards more intelligent, secure, and sustainable architectures.

With this recognition, Huawei cements its position as one of the few companies capable of providing a comprehensive vision for next-generation networks at a time when performance, security, and energy efficiency are more relevant than ever.
