HPE Strengthens Its Cybersecurity Offensive with New AI-Based Solutions and High-Performance Storage

During Black Hat USA 2025, the company showcased key innovations in secure networking, data protection, and attack recovery, integrating for the first time its Aruba and Juniper technologies following the acquisition.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) leveraged its presence at Black Hat USA 2025 to unveil several advancements aimed at bolstering enterprise resilience against cyberattacks. The tech multinational announced new capabilities driven by AI agentic technology, including an SASE co-pilot, ultra-fast storage solutions, and a strategic integration with CrowdStrike, a leader in threat detection.

HPE demonstrated its unified secure networking portfolio for the first time, resulting from the integration of Aruba and Juniper Networks, highlighting a new SASE co-pilot for EdgeConnect. This tool analyzes network traffic in real-time, identifies open ports, unpatched systems, and security gaps, and proposes automated actions powered by AI.

Additionally, Aruba Central NAC’s functionality was expanded to enforce Zero Trust policies on third-party devices and Juniper equipment, providing comprehensive visibility and control.

HPE also introduced WebCC and URL filtering capabilities within its SASE solution, enabling proactive defense through real-time threat intelligence.

“Cybersecurity cannot rely on a single barrier. We need a layered approach with continuous validation, anomaly detection, and automated remediation driven by AI,” stated David Hughes, senior vice president and global security lead at HPE Networking.

One of the most notable announcements was the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 data protection solution, an all-flash, scalable storage system optimized for AI workloads and backups.

The X10000 achieves up to 1.2 petabytes per hour in backup speed—nearly double that of competitors—and has been validated by partners like Commvault Cloud, Cohesity NetBackup, and soon Veeam. Its modular architecture allows capacity or performance expansion as needed.

With a data reduction ratio of up to 60:1 and near-instant recovery capabilities, HPE positions this solution as critical for sectors such as healthcare, financial services, media, and cloud.

HPE also introduced a new HPE Zerto Software integration hub to connect with cybersecurity and enterprise network solutions. CrowdStrike is the exclusive launch partner, integrating its Falcon platform with HPE Zerto to detect threats and enable automated recovery from secure points prior to attacks.

This integration accelerates recovery within the HPE Cyber Resilience Vault, an air-gapped system providing extreme protection against ransomware, combining Zerto, Alletra, ProLiant, and Aruba.

“Together with HPE, we offer integrated defense and recovery to minimize attack impacts and ensure business continuity,” said Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike business director.

HPE announced that its Zerto software is undergoing validation under U.S. government standards such as CISA, STIG, and FIPS, ensuring its use in critical environments and regulatory compliance.

The company has also created a new Cybersecurity Center of Excellence to evaluate the ransomware resilience of its storage systems. The Alletra MP B10000 has already been validated against the 25 most dangerous ransomware variants.

With these developments, HPE solidifies its vision of a modern, resilient, AI-driven IT infrastructure, where security, performance, and recovery converge to protect organizations amid constantly evolving threats.
