Airo, GoDaddy’s bet on AI

Airo, which the company describes as its agentic operating system for small businesses, has become its main website-building product and has started contributing to bookings growth. Its annualized bookings run rate topped $100 million, up from the $50 million GoDaddy reported a quarter earlier. CEO Aman Bhutani says the company’s “AI transformation is gaining momentum” and that it is positioning itself “for an agentic world.”

In that vein, GoDaddy has expanded its developer platform with APIs designed for AI agents to manage hosting, professional email, and commerce. It’s aiming at a scenario where part of the signup and configuration of web services is handled by agents instead of people.

Segments, customers, and stock buybacks

The Applications and Commerce segment, which includes Airo, brought in $524.3 million in revenue, up 9%, with a segment EBITDA margin of 46.9%. Core Platform, which covers domains and hosting, generated $817.5 million, up 4.2%. The customer base reached 20.5 million, up 40,000 for the quarter, and average revenue per user rose 6.8% to $253.

Operating cash flow was $487.7 million (+9.8%), and free cash flow was $480.8 million (+9.1%). So far this year, through October 26, GoDaddy has bought back 15.7 million shares for $1,400 million, a gross 12% reduction in diluted shares since January. CFO Mark McCaffrey highlighted “solid revenue growth, higher profitability, and strong free cash flow.”

For full-year 2026, the company expects revenue at the high end of its $5,215 million to $5,255 million guidance range, roughly 6% growth at the midpoint, with 10% growth in Applications and Commerce and 4% in Core. It is maintaining a normalized EBITDA margin above 33% and free cash flow of around $1,800 million. The release doesn’t include a specific forecast for the fourth quarter.

GoDaddy’s push into AI agents comes as other hosting and domain companies experiment with similar tools: Cdmon, for instance, has turned to AI to optimize the performance of its own servers.
