Genetec Enhances Security Center SaaS with Intrusion Management Feature

Genetec Inc., a global leader in enterprise electronic security software, has announced the integration of intrusion management into Security Center SaaS, its unified electronic security solution that can be deployed in both cloud and hybrid environments.

With this update, Security Center SaaS expands its capabilities by combining intrusion detection with video surveillance, access control, identity management, and visitor management. This provides a fully unified, open platform that is entirely cloud-managed, supported by the Genetec Cloudlink device line.

Additionally, the new functionality will ensure compatibility with a broad range of intrusion devices from various manufacturers, starting with Bosch intrusion panels. This integration reinforces Genetec’s commitment to enterprise security by providing advanced and flexible solutions for modern protection environments.

Unified Intrusion Management

Automated intrusion management eliminates reliance on manual processes, reducing errors and ensuring that systems are activated automatically when needed. Operators can set up automated schedules, apply credential-based activations, and use first-in, last-out logic to maintain facility protection 24/7 without adding operational complexity. By integrating intrusion detection with business workflows, organizations can focus on their core operations while keeping a secure environment.

Real-Time Threat Verification and Response

The intrusion management feature of Security Center SaaS helps security teams act quickly by validating alarms in real-time through video verification, eliminating uncertainty and reducing unnecessary disruptions. When a real threat is detected, automated workflows can immediately lock doors, activate deterrent measures, and notify the appropriate personnel according to predefined escalation procedures. By minimizing false alarms and focusing on real threats, end users can enhance their security while reducing the impact on their daily operations, ensuring faster decision-making and more effective responses.

Proactive Security Measures

In addition to real-time detection, the intrusion management of Security Center SaaS provides automated reporting and dynamic system alerts to help organizations identify vulnerabilities before they become critical issues. With a complete event log, organizations can ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a solid foundation for audits.

Operational Efficiency

The open approach of Security Center SaaS to compatibility with intrusion panels not only enhances security but also optimizes operational efficiency. By centralizing intrusion event data into intuitive dashboards, teams benefit from real-time visibility that enables faster, better-informed decision-making. This immediate access to critical information is integrated into automated reports that track trends in alarms and response times, allowing teams to uncover valuable insights for continuous improvement.

“Security Center SaaS continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible. With the introduction of intrusion management, we are fulfilling our vision of a completely unified, open, and cloud-managed platform. This allows organizations to detect, verify, and respond to threats more quickly and confidently,” commented Christian Morin, Vice President of Product Engineering at Genetec Inc.

Availability and Hardware Compatibility

The intrusion panel management feature for Security Center SaaS will be available globally in mid-2025 through Genetec’s accredited channel partner network. Built on an open architecture and supported by the Genetec Cloudlink multifunction and cloud-managed device line, Security Center SaaS will be compatible with Bosch intrusion panels from its launch, with plans to expand compatibility through additional technology partnerships. This open approach allows customers to choose the hardware that best fits their needs or retain their existing panels, providing a flexible and cost-effective solution to modernize their electronic security operations.
