Genetec announces the availability of Security Center SaaS.

Genetec Inc. (“Genetec”), a leading provider of unified security technology, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions, announced today the availability of Security Center SaaS through its global network of certified partners. The new offering, a massively scalable, open, and unified software as a service (SaaS) solution, will combine access control, video management, forensic search, intrusion monitoring, automation, and many other advanced security functions.

“The electronic security industry has been waiting for an enterprise-level offering that can be deployed in the cloud or in a hybrid deployment based on the needs and requirements of customers. Security Center SaaS not only fills this important gap in the market but redefines the possibilities of cloud-based electronic security,” said Michel Chalouhi, Global Sales Vice President of Genetec Inc.

Thanks to its open architecture, Security Center SaaS offers organizations the ability to choose the best-fit door controllers, cameras, and devices for their business. It also features powerful forensic search tools designed to simplify and expedite investigations. These tools extract crucial information from enriched metadata that edge devices connected to the system have collected. The information is displayed in a unique and intuitive user interface, making faster and informed decision-making processes easier.

Security Center SaaS features robust and comprehensive system management tools that make it easy for channel partners to configure, provision, and deploy complex and multisite enterprise systems at scale. From quotes to delivery, Security Center SaaS helps partners effectively manage and monitor all their Security Center SaaS installations, regardless of project size.

In addition to a portfolio of cameras from various manufacturers, Security Center SaaS maximizes the newly announced Axis Cloud Connect solution and the existing Axis Powered by Genetec network door controller. Building on years of close collaboration with Axis, Security Center SaaS allows customers to securely connect, register, and manage Axis devices in a variety of deployment options, including direct streaming of video, metadata, and access control data from the device to the cloud.

Both ACC and Axis Powered by Genetec offer users a complete enterprise-level deployment of network access control and video technologies designed to seamlessly operate in hybrid and cloud environments, as well as fully on-premises deployments. Easy to install and maintain, these Axis devices enable Security Center SaaS customers to quickly and reliably deploy a unified cloud-ready installation.
