The arrival of artificial intelligence has marked a global turning point, transforming the way we live and work. Nowadays, it is common to turn to this technology for everyday tasks such as planning a weekly menu, summarizing documents, or creating images, among many other functions. Therefore, it is not surprising that more and more companies are betting on integrating artificial intelligence into their core processes, aiming to streamline tasks, optimize resources, and achieve better results.
According to forecasts, automation will impact 18% of work tasks worldwide, which will contribute to a 7% increase in global GDP due to increased productivity*. Furthermore, it is estimated that generative AI will revolutionize 23% of jobs in the next five years. This could lead to a productivity growth equivalent to 3.24 million jobs—16% of the total—by 2033.
Despite this, and in light of the new technology, employees have expressed concern about its arrival. Specifically, in sectors like finance and manufacturing, employees are worried about their job future at rates of 19% and 14%, respectively***. “Generative AI allows for the automation of repetitive (and often complex) tasks that previously consumed a significant amount of teams’ time. This offers companies the opportunity to redirect talent towards strategic and higher-value activities, thus boosting their competitiveness and efficiency,” asserts Francisco José Moreno Balboa, CEO and founder of Logixs.
Generative AI positions itself as the tool that will create new jobs
Artificial intelligence, and more specifically generative AI, has enabled the creation of new job positions. Specifically, more than half of employees believe that AI has created new jobs that did not exist before***. Additionally, it is estimated that in the next three years, AI will reshape more jobs than it will destroy, and 20% of teams believe that the workforce will be redefined with this technology****.
As noted by Logixs, one of the leading Spanish companies specializing in generative AI, which undertook more than 20 projects in 2024, generative AI has sparked a revolution at all levels in the business realm, creating new roles such as prompt engineers, conversational designers, and AI model trainers, to name a few.
The company believes that, in European countries like Spain, the real challenge lies in transforming companies to be ‘AI Driven’. But that’s not all; it is also important to increasingly invest in these new professions and skills, which can meet a growing need.
“The integration of AI not only automates repetitive tasks but also transforms the way we work, freeing teams to focus on strategic and innovative projects. With generative AI tools, companies are not only streamlining processes but also unlocking new growth and competitiveness opportunities in an ever-evolving market,” declares the CEO and founder of Logixs.
