Excelia Strengthens Its Commitment to Hyperautomation with the Appointment of Antonio Cerdán as New General Director of Hyperautomation

The Spanish consulting firm seeks to accelerate its growth in AI, RPA, and data management with one of the sector’s top profiles.

Excelia, a Spanish consulting, technology, and professional services firm, has announced the appointment of Antonio Cerdán as the new Hyperautomation Managing Director. His joining represents a key strategic move to consolidate and scale the company’s capabilities in intelligent automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics, areas that are experiencing rapid adoption across all business sectors.

The current context, marked by the accelerated adoption of technologies such as generative AI, robotic process automation (RPA), and predictive analytics, demands agile, scalable, and data-driven solutions from companies. In response to this challenge, Excelia strengthens its leadership with the addition of Cerdán, whose background positions him as one of the leading experts in Spain in data-driven operational transformation.

“The addition of Antonio Cerdán will provide a significant boost in the area of hyperautomation, as we currently have a high demand for these services from our clients,” noted Raúl Candela, Partner & Managing Director of Excelia. “His experience will be key to tackling more complex projects and continuing to develop one of our business lines with the greatest potential.”

Career and Future Vision

A graduate in Mathematics from the Complutense University of Madrid, Antonio Cerdán has over two decades of experience in the Data & Analytics ecosystem. He has led strategic projects as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Copernicus, and Chief Data Officer (CDO) at Solvia Real Estate and Intrum. He has also held executive positions at top-tier firms such as KPMG and EY, always focused on advanced analytics and data management.

“I am very excited to join Excelia, where we have an exciting challenge: to support organizations in operational transformation based on the intelligent use of data and innovation in artificial intelligence,” said Cerdán.

A Sustained Strategy of Talent and Growth

Cerdán’s arrival is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the executive team at Excelia, which has also recently welcomed José Ruiz as Financial Director and Mireya Santoyo as Marketing & Communication Director.

Excelia thus consolidates its positioning as one of the key players in the Spanish hyperautomation market, with an offering that combines strategic vision, technological capability, and a differentiated client-centric approach.
