ESIC University and Microsoft Spain have signed a strategic agreement to strengthen education in Computer Engineering. The collaboration aims to enhance the employability of students through technological certifications, specialized training, and access to Microsoft’s partner network.
An Alliance for Educational Innovation
The agreement was signed by Eduardo Gómez Martín, president of ESIC University, and Paco Salcedo, president of Microsoft Spain. Both emphasized the importance of this collaboration in the digital transformation of higher education.
“The alliance with Microsoft and the launch of the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering represents a milestone for our institution. We want to train professionals capable of leading digital evolution and responding to the needs of the global labor market,” asserted Gómez Martín.
For his part, Paco Salcedo highlighted the urgent need to develop digital talent in Spain. “The shortage of technology specialists is a challenge for business growth and the country’s digital transformation. With this agreement, we aim to strengthen the preparation of young people and facilitate their entry into the job market,” he pointed out.
Training in AI, Cloud Computing, and Certifications
The academic program will include official Microsoft certifications, with a special focus on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other key technological disciplines. These certifications will enhance students’ professional profiles and facilitate their integration into the tech sector.
Additionally, talks, workshops, and roundtables with Microsoft experts will be organized, where they will share knowledge on digitization and entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to participate in innovative projects that will allow them to develop key competencies for their future careers.
Scholarship to Promote Women’s Inclusion in Technology
As part of the agreement, ESIC University and Microsoft have created a scholarship aimed at promoting female participation in the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. This initiative seeks to reduce the gender gap in the sector and foster diversity in the technological field.
A Commitment to Education and Digital Development
With this agreement, ESIC University reinforces its commitment to academic excellence and innovation, ensuring that its students receive training aligned with market needs. For its part, Microsoft strengthens its commitment to developing digital talent in Spain, contributing to the growth of the country’s technological ecosystem.
This agreement represents a key step in the evolution of higher education and in preparing future professionals who will lead the digital revolution.
