DE-CIX Expands Its Interconnection Ecosystem to Brooklyn Thanks to Its Partnership with DataVerge

DE-CIX, the largest Internet exchange operator in the world, has announced a strategic partnership with DataVerge, the largest data center and interconnection facility in Brooklyn. This agreement expands DE-CIX’s presence in the New York area, bringing its interconnection network to DataVerge’s facility in Industry City. The new infrastructure will be operational starting in the first quarter of 2025, integrating Brooklyn into the region’s largest and most neutral interconnection ecosystem.

DE-CIX’s exchange platform in New York, the largest in the Northeast U.S., now features 15 switches and over 40 connected locations, extending from Long Island to Piscataway and Edison. This strategic move responds to the increasing demand for high-performance connectivity in Industry City, a district known for its innovation and business development.

Next-Generation Connectivity for Brooklyn

This alliance strengthens our ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality connectivity in Industry City, benefiting both our customers and the tech community in Brooklyn.”

For his part, Ray Sidler, CEO of DataVerge, highlighted the transformative impact of this collaboration: “DE-CIX’s presence in Brooklyn not only validates the growth of our interconnected ecosystem but also underscores the importance of strong connectivity to drive innovation and reliability across the tri-state region.”
