Cosentino Drives Its Business Transformation with Celonis Artificial Intelligence

Cosentino, a leader in the manufacturing of surfaces for design and architecture, has announced the implementation of an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for managing credit holds, in collaboration with Celonis, a global company specializing in process mining and process intelligence. This new assistant, powered by Celonis’s platform, allows Cosentino to process blocked orders up to five times faster, significantly increasing the efficiency of its credit management team without compromising risk.

Celonis’s process intelligence technology enables the assistant to analyze blocked orders in seconds, integrating key data such as order value, the customer’s credit history, and process-based KPIs. This provides Cosentino’s credit managers with accurate, data-driven recommendations, facilitating quick and secure decision-making.

“Celonis provides the visibility and business context necessary to make enterprise AI more effective,” said Manuel Haug, CTO of Field at Celonis. “By combining historical data and business rules, Celonis enables companies like Cosentino to leverage AI to drive innovation and accelerate business transformation.”

Cosentino and Its Commitment to Technological Innovation

Since 1945, Cosentino has stood out in the architectural surfaces industry, with iconic products such as Silestone® and Dekton®. In 2024, the Spanish family-owned company took another step in its innovation journey by implementing artificial intelligence to optimize its business operations, relying on Celonis as its strategic partner in the digital transformation process.

Rafael Domene, Global CIO of Cosentino, described the deployment of Celonis’s AI as “a revolutionary change” for managing blocked orders. “This innovation not only streamlines our processes but also guarantees faster and more reliable results, reinforcing our commitment to business success through the use of advanced technology.”

Artificial Intelligence in Credit Management

In just seven weeks, Celonis developed and deployed the AI assistant, structuring information from Cosentino’s IT systems and training the assistant to analyze each blocked order in real-time. The assistant reviews key factors such as the customer’s available credit balance and the frequency of block removals to make an informed recommendation on whether to maintain or lift the credit hold.

This system also allows credit managers to accept or reject the assistant’s recommendation with a single click, and if declined, to add comments so the assistant can learn and improve its accuracy in future assessments. This way, the unblocking process is carried out more efficiently and transparently, enhancing team efficiency without increasing credit risk.
