Cloud Native Computing Foundation certifies the IONOS Managed Kubernetes container platform.

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has awarded its prestigious certification to the IONOS Managed Kubernetes service, officially recognizing it within the Certified Kubernetes Conformance Program. This achievement assures users that the IONOS platform complies with the required APIs and supports the latest versions of Kubernetes technology for effective container orchestration. Additionally, this certification highlights IONOS’s commitment to interoperability, making it easier for customers to transition between different Kubernetes providers seamlessly.

The significance of this certification lies in its guarantee of reliability and compatibility within the container ecosystem, allowing users to run and verify conformance test procedures at any time through the Sonobuoy application.

Deep Commitment to the Open Source Community

IONOS has been demonstrating its commitment to advancing the open-source community for over a decade, participating in various committees and maintaining active membership in both the CNCF and the Linux Foundation since December 2023. “Open source is essential for the development of any sovereign cloud. We are proud to give back to the community as members of CNCF and the Linux Foundation,” stated Dr. Markus Noga, Chief Technology Officer of IONOS.

Additionally, IONOS is part of the Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA) in Germany, an organization dedicated to promoting open standards to ensure a digitally sovereign society. IONOS’s active involvement in these initiatives underscores its dedication to innovation, interoperability, and the promotion of open and accessible technological infrastructure.

This recognition from the CNCF not only confirms the quality and reliability of IONOS Managed Kubernetes as a leading container orchestration solution but also reinforces IONOS’s position as a key player in fostering open and collaborative technologies in the cloud.
