Claranet appoints Roger Vilà as new COO to lead its growth in Spain

The company ends 2024 with a 30% increase in revenue and aims for 50 million euros by 2028

Claranet, a European provider of cloud solutions and managed services, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Roger Vilà as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Spain. This appointment is part of the company’s growth strategy, which finished the fiscal year 2024 with 27 million euros in revenue, representing a 30% increase compared to the previous year.

With more than 30 years of experience in the tech sector, Vilà arrives with the goal of enhancing internal processes and ensuring the quality, stability, and proactivity of Claranet’s services. His background includes being a co-founder of NTT in Spain, where he held key positions such as General Manager for Southern Europe and Global Director of Cloud Services. In recent years, he served as COO at Mio Group.

“I am impressed by Claranet’s enthusiasm and commitment to continued growth. With this motivation and the talent of our teams, we hope to achieve great results together,” said Roger Vilà.

From the General Management of Claranet in Spain, David Cuesta emphasized that Vilà’s joining will allow for accelerated innovation in services and improve the customer experience. “Having a profile with this experience and strategic vision will help us harness the full potential of the Spanish market,” he stated.

Goal: 50 million euros by 2028

After closing a year of solid growth, Claranet has set a target to reach 50 million euros in revenue by 2028, supported by new investments and acquisitions that enhance its advanced service offerings.

Among its strategic lines are the next-generation hybrid cloud services, both on public platforms and through its own Claranet Cloud Platform. Additionally, the company will continue to focus on modernizing and migrating applications, cybersecurity, and Digital Workplace solutions, all with a customer-centered approach and operational excellence.

With this move, Claranet consolidates its presence in the Spanish market and reinforces its ambition to become a European leader in advanced technology solutions for companies undergoing digital transformation.
