Cisco Boosts Artificial Intelligence in Self-hosted Observability to Strengthen Cybersecurity

Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) has launched a new virtual appliance solution for its AppDynamics On-Premises offering in an effort to advance application security and optimize observability. This innovation will allow customers to utilize a self-hosted observability solution that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) for anomaly detection and root cause analysis, as well as application security and monitoring SAP.

The new offering from Cisco comes at a time when cyber threats and application vulnerabilities continue to evolve, making it essential for companies to quickly detect performance issues and protect against attacks and security vulnerabilities. Integrating AI into observability enables IT teams to operate with greater precision and efficiency, addressing anomalies and vulnerabilities proactively.

With the self-hosted AppDynamics solution, organizations maintain complete control over observability deployment, a crucial aspect for companies in regulated sectors or those handling sensitive data. Companies in sectors such as public, financial, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail, which require continuous monitoring of critical systems, can significantly benefit from the ability to internally observe and manage their critical business applications.

For customers eventually looking to migrate to cloud-based solutions, Cisco has introduced AppDynamics Flex Licensing. This flexible licensing model is designed to streamline the transition from self-hosted AppDynamics offerings to SaaS-based ones, allowing organizations to tailor their observability infrastructure as their needs evolve.
