Caser enhances its cybersecurity with the Tanium XEM platform and strategic alliance between Tanium and EY

Tanium, a leading provider of Converged Endpoint Management (XEM), has announced the success of the Spanish insurance and services company Caser in improving its cybersecurity. Through the implementation of the Tanium XEM platform, Caser has achieved 100% visibility of its global endpoints and applications, significantly reducing cybersecurity risks in its IT infrastructure.

Caser, the eighth largest insurance provider in Spain, adopted the joint Tanium and EY solution, called Managed Visibility and Control (MVaC), to strengthen the cyber hygiene of its IT environment and improve security policy compliance. Sergio Perelló Pascual, Director of Technology and Operations at Caser, highlighted the importance of this solution in meeting the strict regulations of the Helvetia Group, Caser’s parent company, which serves more than 7 million customers and has 12,000 employees.

“With MVac, we get instant visibility of our devices, allowing us to manage vulnerabilities, maintain security policy compliance, apply patches, and control third-party applications, as well as improve our IT operations,” explained Perelló. Before using Tanium, Caser struggled to have a comprehensive view of its assets and data, leading to uncertainty in vulnerability detection and ineffective patch and system update management.

The Tanium XEM platform has been key for Caser by providing real-time visibility of all its assets and vulnerabilities, enabling proactive risk management. According to Jeremy Bellaiche, Tanium’s Regional Vice President in Spain, “Tanium’s ability to observe the IT environment in real time and detect endpoints was the decisive factor for Caser, which needed a complete inventory of its assets as a first step to protect its environment.”

The alliance between EY and Tanium has been fundamental in this success, providing Caser with a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that combines the Tanium platform with EY’s expert consultancy. Jordi Juan, EY’s cybersecurity partner, highlighted that this collaboration allows companies to manage their assets more efficiently and reduce risk by maintaining total control of devices and visibility of vulnerabilities.

Thanks to this strategic collaboration, Caser has been able to enhance its protection against cyber threats, accelerate its IT operations, and maximize the value of its technological investments, achieving a safer and more controlled IT environment.
