ASLAN2025 Opens Its Doors in Madrid: Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Take Center Stage at the Largest Technology Congress

The 32nd edition of the ASLAN2025 Congress & EXPO kicked off today, March 18, at the Palacio de Congresos in Madrid, solidifying its position as one of the leading technology events in Spain. Organized by the @aslan Association —which brings together 192 manufacturers and suppliers specializing in digital innovation and cybersecurity—, the congress will take place until March 20 under the theme “AI + Digital Innovation: Major Challenges and Opportunities”.

The opening of the event featured the participation of the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Administration, Óscar López, and the Digitalization Counselor of the Community of Madrid, Miguel López-Valverde Argüeso. Both emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and cyber resilience as strategic pillars for the country’s economic growth and competitiveness.

A congress that grows in duration and space

For the first time, the congress extends its duration to three days instead of two, distributing its activities across all floors of the Palacio de Congresos. The ground floor is entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence; the first floor focuses on the public sector; the second floor hosts forums on technology trends; the third floor features the EXPO area and the “VII Annual TIC Executives Meeting”; and the fourth floor includes networking areas and co-working spaces.

This new format aims to facilitate attendance at a greater number of conferences and enable closer contact between professionals, speakers, technology integrators, public administration representatives, telecom operators, and data center and cloud providers.

Six challenges of technological innovation

The content of the congress is structured around two main areas: artificial intelligence and cyber resilience. Under these themes, six key challenges for the digital transformation of businesses and administrations are addressed:

  1. The application of AI in IT infrastructure, digital services, and cybersecurity.
  2. Improving business competitiveness through advanced analytics and other disruptive technologies.
  3. The role of the TIC channel as a driver of digitalization and cyber protection in SMEs.
  4. Funding and modernization opportunities in the final stretch of European funds.
  5. The strategic value of managed services to enhance efficiency and security.
  6. Spain as a digital hub in southern Europe thanks to its data centers and connectivity.

Two major knowledge forums

During the three days of ASLAN2025, two major forums will take place:

  • Digital Innovation & AI Forum: will analyze the impact of AI on automation, data analytics, AIOps, complex network management, Edge Computing, and high-performance computing (HPC) solutions.
  • Cybersecurity & AI Forum: focused on the protection of cloud environments, the application of AI and machine learning in cybersecurity, IoT and 5G protection, and advanced solutions such as XDR and SASE to minimize exposure to threats.

Key meetings for the public and private sectors

The VIII National Annual Meeting of Experts in Technologies in Public Administration will be one of the standout events, where the digital transformation challenges of administrations at the national, regional, and local levels will be discussed. Strategic topics such as the protection of critical infrastructure, the impact of AI on public services, and the advancement of the Spain Digital Agenda 2026 will be addressed.

An EXPO with over 125 technology companies

The exhibition area will feature participation from more than 125 leading companies in digital innovation. Among them are:

  • V-Valley, showcasing its next-generation XaaS solutions to facilitate digital transformation.
  • DMI Computer, presenting its catalog alongside manufacturers such as Synology, Dahua, and Maxhub, with exclusive promotions for integrators and professionals.
  • MCR, showcasing its solutions for businesses in partnership with brands like Huawei, Qnap, and Zyxel.
  • Dell Technologies, which will not only be present in the EXPO area but also in the conference cycle, demonstrating how to build scalable AI solutions and advanced digital work environments.
  • Grupo Aire, participating alongside Stackscale, their company specialized in private cloud infrastructure, bare-metal, and GPU solutions for Big Data and AI projects, showcasing their commitment to supporting companies and administrations in their digital transformation processes.

A strategic event for Spain’s digital future

The closing of the congress will include the traditional Gala Dinner, where the XVI Public Administration Awards will be presented, recognizing the most outstanding initiatives in technological innovation.

ASLAN2025 thus establishes itself as an essential space for understanding how artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure will continue to transform businesses, administrations, and the digital economy of Spain in the coming years.
